It was the perfect place to hang out after a long day. The owner is a very cool and nice guy and let me watch a Liverpool football game on his laptop. The atmosphere is very much welcoming and it has an uplifting sense to it. Would definitely go back there.

AVOID at all costs. I am a single Lady traveler and went to the Balcony bar on my last night in Battambang. Besides 2 local guys I was the only customer which unfortunately brought the owners full attention to me which was bad. I am not going to repeat the exact words of this man as it was simply disgusting (like the toilets). It must be a great place if you are old, male and alcoholic or if you like to be sexual harassed. Never again.

Nice chilled bar, good music and ideally one of the best places in Battambang to relax by the riverfront and enjoy company. Bobby aka beardy is a great host

The Balcony is a great place to go for dinner, drinks, and sunset views. It is located on an old house beside the river, and the balcony is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the scenery with drinks on hand. The food options are limited, but they are all great. The lasagna and burger are particularly yummy. Descent selection of Khmer food as well :) The hosts, Vutha, Kalyan, and Bobby, are awesome. They are friendly and welcoming, and they always go out of their way to make sure that their guests have a good time. Overall, The Balcony Late Night Bar and Restaurant is a great place to go for a relaxing evening out. It is one of the best bars in Battambang, and it is sure to please everyone. PS. There's a pool table and live football shows:)

The place to sit is a little narrow, but the food is good has a lot of choices for appetize and good price. Good to go as team and friends. Go alone is not a good choice. Music is good for local.

Really!!! Cheap drinks. A little strong though. Great venue and ambience. Live music. But super loud. Solo Australian traveller , so wasn't really able to meet or talk to anyone there because of the language barrier and level of sound/music. Would be a great spot to come with friends

Kick ass new bar. Really fun crowd for opening night. It's our friends bar so let us pray he can survive but it will be gone in less than 6 months. Very poor economy and no consumer spending on fun.

Friendly staff, got something else than I ordered. But the service compensated. The pub is popular by locals, but had a nice experience.

Well the owner is very friendly.She explains everything to my family carefully. it’s a 100 year old house 🏠 They also sell something to.U should buy one of those. I can’t forget about the cat name Tommy.Natalie loves that cat 🐈

A must visit. The owner explained the history of her generational family house in depth. It was a very interesting and eye opening visit.

This house Was built in 1920s .still in good condition 👍 .only the kitchen.cuz in 1975 til 1979 pol pot era arrive .they Store the salt 🧂in there to make the house 🏠 broken .

A truly wonderful place to visit in Battambang. The owners are such lovely people, and it’s inspiring to see them preserve their family heritage with such passion. Keep up the amazing work!

I was kindly shown around individually by the owner to save me waiting for 40 minutes for the next group to arrive. It cost $2 which I thought was reasonable. It took about 20 minutes to tell me about the place and then I was free to wander around on my own and take photos. I was not pressured into buying any souvenirs. The house is old and was built in 1920 so we would not call it ancient; something slightly amiss with the translation. It was interesting but do not make it a priority. Fit it in if you have nothing else to see.

I really enjoyed visiting the Battambang Museum. The museum is clean, peaceful, and full of interesting history about Khmer culture, ancient artifacts, and local traditions. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the displays were easy to understand. It is a great place to learn more about the history of Battambang and Cambodia. Highly recommended for travelers who enjoy culture and history.Location at Battam Bong province .

An amazing day tour I had a wonderful day tour in Battamgbong province, it was the most charming province located. Particularly I went to museum, there are many Khmer artifacts in the art gallery during Pre-Angkorian and Angkorian.

A very small museum with some very nice (and others not so much) artifacts from the province. The museum has all information in English. We enjoyed a good 30-45 minutes here.

This museum contains the remnants from archeological sites in both historic and prehistoric periods especially the Haobinhien culture. The place is small yet well organized in term of exhibition. What I like is the reproduction statue of Houbinhien society people together with tools.

Entry fee is US 3 per pax for foreigners No further donation is required. This is a really small non-airconditioned museum. Sadly to say, it is not as professionally done up as like Siem Reap Angkor Museum. The artifacts are mainly statue remains. Got a little sensitive to the nose since the smell in a non aircon place.

From the moment I walked in I was warmly greeted, shown to the back to dine in a beautiful green garden area with beautiful tables and comfortable seats. Given a menu where everything looked and sounded delicious! I ended up going with a local green curry with chicken, a fresh juice blend called Revitalize, and a side of kimchi. All three were absolutely delicious! I'll definitely be going back here 😋🙏🏼💛✨

The food is incredible! We ate here twice in one day as the food was so delicious. Highly recommend the veggie burger and the dirty farmer salad. So fresh! Felt nice to have some delicious healthy food. Also, the waiting staff are so lovely and attentive. The atmosphere is great also. Couldn’t recommend enough. Best food ever !!!

The Fringe is an amazing cafe in the center of town, offering so much more than their already delicious and healthy food. I participated in their new Kitchen Tales tour, an immersive experience bringing you to see a new side of Battambang, learn the stories of local street-food vendors, and taste special family recipes. Truly a thoughtful and well-crafted way to show Battambang town through a unique lens of food x people. The Fringe also offers sporty activities like yoga sessions or runs/walks around the park! Definitely recommend the yoga lessons (only $3) that focus on stretching and balance, before a refreshing meal or juice at the Fringe.

Delightful cafe and chill out space in the heart of Battambang! Visited on our first afternoon for food, and sat in the lovely outdoor space, but there is also seating available inside. Ordered the Nom pang special, and my partner had the stir fried eggplant. The Nom Pang was delicious, and tofu cooked expertly, with loads of filling and tasty sauces. The stir fried eggplant was also really good, although a little on the spicy side for my partner. Finished with their sweet treats in the form of flavoured sweet bites which were all lovely. We spent a good few hours here utilizing the wifi and if you had freetime in the area, they also have a range of books and board games available for use. Good value and wonderful service from the staff throughout. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would recommend!

Absolutely wonderful cafe on the river! It was raining and the power was down but they happily made me a drip coffee and it was delicious! Affordable price and wonderful atmosphere. I could work on my laptop given the wifi was strong! Nice indoor paintings. Loved the Gecko theme!

I had a wonderful time at The Gecko. The food was authentic, fresh, and delicious. I tried the sushi platter, the udon soup, salmon salad and the tuna bowl. Everything was well-prepared and beautifully presented. The prices were reasonable. The owner was very friendly and attentive. He greeted me with a smile and explained the menu items to me. He also gave me some recommendations on what to order. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. The restaurant was decorated with many hand crafted bracelets and accessories paintings. I love the loft style design and dining at the top. I highly recommend The Gecko to anyone who loves Japanese cuisine. It is one of the best restaurants in Battambang and a must-visit for travelers. I will definitely come back again when I'm in town.

I stopped here as I urgently needed coolant for my moped. One of the staff called his brother to come and help me. Went back later for lunch and the did not disappoint. Teriyaki burger was very good. Fries were nice and crunchy. The dressing for the salad was super interesting. Loads of nice quality souviners. Lovely spot to chill at in Battambang if you have spare time. Thank you so much 💯💯🦎🦎🦎

Such a hidden gem! You CANNOT miss Gecko when you’re in BTB. The Japanese owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, adding to the charm of this spot. Their food is fantastic - fresh, unique, and truly special. Beyond the food, their souvenirs and other items are definitely worth checking out. It’s a bit further from downtown, but it has everything you could want in a café. And I saved the best for last - I got my cheesecake fix and even took some home because it was that good. Plus, I couldn’t resist picking up a few antique pieces!

Very good atmosphere. The restaurant’s design is very pretty. I had Japanese food,adon . The soup is delicious.

I hesitated between 4 and 5 stars, as there are not many options for people that are hungry, but then I decided to only review based on the coffee. The coffee was good and adequately priced (1.85$). The barista spoke perfect English. There are books in Khmer if you want to read. The vibe of the coffee shop is sort of industrial.

Really lovely little place. I came here twice during my trip, once for western food when I was very hungover and craving a sandwich and once for local food and both were great. The French bread/baguette here with tuna is really good and crispy which seems to be hard to find in Cambodia. The noodles with beef and fried egg were really filling and had lots of fresh vegetables. Very comfy, lovely service and nice and quiet to relax a bit.

good dishes with nice ingredients. i got bruschetta it was perfect and i got the lasagne. it came with side salad and few pieces of garlic bread. nicely packaged to go, see photos. lasagne flavor was pretty good and the cheese was very fragrant and overpowering for me i wouldn't get it again. next time i will try something pesto or ម្ហូបខ្មែរ instead. they have a very wellstocked bar for anyone wanting to drink more than just beer.

Having looked for places with good reviews we decided on this place. With a menu of both Western and Khmer dishes, there was a lot of choice. We tried the fried eggplant with pork and rice and, on the recommendation of a gentleman at the bar, also ordered the lasagna. We were glad we did because it was excellent. Very flavourful with quality ingredients and nicely cooked pasta sheets. The fried eggplant was delicious too. Prices were reasonable, staff were friendly, and all round satisfying experience and we may well return. NB: We did return and had the pasta aglio e olio and the beef chopsteak and fries. The pasta was absolutely delicious, cooked al dente and so flavourful for such a simple dish. The chopsteak was similar to the hamburger steak you get in Japan. Essentially two bunless burgers, with a sauce served on top. It was also good. I've been so impressed with the Italian dishe

I had really great time here. Met a lot of locals and some people from Europa. Owner is cool guy and he has really good friends. Food was delicious.

Good restaurant serving both Cambodian and Western food. Ice cold beers and good French wine available by the glass. Coffee and tea also. Manger is Cambodian but speaks good English and a little French. I’ve been here a few times over a number of years when I visit Battambang. Nice atmosphere, background music and very clean tables and toilet facilities. Good free WiFi. Breakfast, lunch or dinner the food is made fresh which is what I enjoy. Single people like me, couples or large groups all seem to go there, but i guess best to warn them before if you have a very large group.
