Hideaway Hostel Koh Rong Bar & Restaurant

What a hidden gem! I came to Koh Rong on a little holiday from Koh Rong sanloem, where I manage a resort. Me and a couple of friends found this by accident and we were impressed. The service, the food and just the atmosphere was incredible and very professional. One thing I miss after living here for 3 years is good cheeses and cold meats, now I know where to go when I’m craving. Exceptional and really shouldn’t be missed if you like good food, drinks and service. Thanks guys, Dan

Three of us stopped by The Balcony for a cheese and meat board and had a lovely evening. The board was delicious and really generous, and paired perfectly with the wine. Atmosphere was beautiful and relaxed, with great views and a really nice vibe for a chilled night. What really made it for us though was the service. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and you could tell they genuinely cared about making sure we had a great time. Would 100% recommend if you’re on Koh Rong and want good food, wine, and a really nice place to unwind. Wish we could make the bottomless brunch on Sunday but unfortunately will no longer be on the island.

Decided to have a cheeky wine and cheese night and this did not disappoint! The drinks were lovey, the spread was tasty and the manager was such a lovely lady, very attentive, chatty and welcoming, couldn’t do enough for us. Would highly recommend

The wine was such a wonderful change as a couple who really enjoys a good bottle of wine. And the cheese and charcuterie board was delicious and tasted very good quality. I hope they get the popularity they deserve!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐A hidden gem where the jungle meets the sea—The Balcony is pure magic.Tucked away from the crowds, this place is more than just a Coffee & Wine House; it’s a dreamscape on Koh Rong. Between the curated wine list and the mellow background music, it’s the perfect spot to "slow down" and soak in the island vibes. The cheese & charcuterie board is expertly paired, and that smoked duck croissant is a must-try—truly a delightful surprise! A huge thank you to Louise and Neil for their incredible hospitality; they make you feel right at home. If you find yourself on Long Set Beach, do yourself a favor and spend a golden evening here.

Honestly better than most pizzas in europe🤣, so much so we went twice. Also the service we experienced in koh rong. Defo would recommend!!

I cannot recommend this enough! Super tasty Italian style pizza with a great fluffy base and lots of toppings to choose from with incredible sea front views and happy hour beers, I couldn’t ask for more.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🍕 Authentic Italian Pizza by the Sea – A Wonderful Experience! 🌊 We came here just for pizza – and wow, it was worth it! 👌 The dough and sauce were absolutely delicious, made in true Italian style 🇮🇹. The base was perfectly crispy and golden 🍕🔥, and the service was fast and smooth. 😊 Staff The young ladies working there were incredibly kind, smiling, and spoke excellent English 💬. Their friendly service really made a difference – we felt so welcome! 📍 Location & Atmosphere The restaurant is right on the beachfront, and the vibe is amazing 🌴☀️. While eating, you can literally feel the sand and sea at your feet 🦶🌊. The drinks were ice-cold and tasty 🧊🍹 – perfect for a sunny day! 🎇 Extra Touches In the nearby area, you can enjoy fire shows and fireworks at night – it adds such a magical feeling to the evening ✨🔥💃. 💬 Final Thoughts I truly recommend this place – you can trust

The best Pizza on the island for sure. Have many choices, comes on the table very fast and made with love, good cheese, good ingredients, nice bread. We had so many and all of them was really good, can’t get enough. The owner is super nice guy, no complains, totally recommend I’m sure u will come back again if u try once. Ocean blue bar is pretty nice gem, beautiful view, nice bar, good food, good price. Drinks are cheaper and nicer than next doors and at reggae bar after. Stay at ocean blue and enjoy your pizza :))

Beautiful bar - nice food and pizza great atmosphere on the beach 10/10 The pizza I keep coming back for definitely the best on the island !! Back 2 years later and still amazing pizza

Busy beach area with many tourists, lots of hotels, restaurants, and convenient services. Great spot for staying on the island.

it's okay imo, sat and sun had lots of things to sell. but don't worry, it's good for everyone and heard about special sat and sun, selling. not over crowded but maybe had everything you need, all you need is enough money for daily activity.

If you are looking for variety of accommodation with competitive price, bars, and restaurants, moto bike rent, Koh Toch Beach can be an option. I stayed 2 nights there and it’s easy to find food and mini mart and other stuff as well.

A bay full of filth, where people are trying to do tourism with zero respect for the environment. Everything is neglected. The beach is basically a pile of trash, and the side streets are even worse. The sea smells like sewage, and small streams from above flow directly into it. There’s animal waste everywhere. There were also volunteers, mostly tourists, trying to clean the area. That alone says a lot about the scale of the problem. People who came here for a holiday were so disturbed by the situation that they started cleaning the environment themselves. It’s really sad In a developed country, a tourist area with such negative conditions would go bankrupt. But here, there is simply no respect for the environment. There are also hygiene issues in restaurants. Altogether, people are betraying this beautiful bay. We stayed in this area for 2 nights and moved to Long Beach on the 3rd day.

Entire beach covered in plastic rubbish. Like it is everywhere. No one seems to be cleaning it up, seems like it all ends up in the ocean. Sand is filled with sharp pieces of plastic/glass that are a danger when walking barefoot. I would recommend staying away from this beach. Also the restaurants are pretty bad.

Seriously INCREDIBLE food! We came here so many times during our stay in Koh Rong and each time it was just so so good. I will forever be dreaming of the feta pide

Amazing and lovely food! Incredible taste, had a kebab one evening and it was so good we had to come back the next day again. Also tried the Turkish yoghurt, it’s a generous helping of fresh fruits and so nice with real Turkish yoghurt since it’s almost impossible to find anywhere else in Asia. Worth every dollar! We also met the man who owns the place and he was very kind and seemed to be very passionate about the food and service!!!

Absolutely delicious food, especially the chicken wrap and the beef Pide!! The owner was incredibly kind and always making sure everything was perfect and that we had everything we needed ☺️ Highly recommend ⭐️

The culinary experience was exceptional, characterized by remarkable flavors. My initial encounter with the kebab was so satisfying that it prompted a return visit the following day. I also sampled the Turkish yogurt, which featured a substantial portion of fresh fruits and offered an authentic taste, a rarity in the Asian culinary landscape. The value proposition was outstanding. Furthermore, we had the pleasure of meeting the proprietor, whose gracious demeanor and evident passion for both the cuisine and service were truly commendable.

Easily one of the best platters I’ve ever had. Friendly service, instantly was welcomed and received a menu, food came out in good speed and could pay by card with ZERO fees! Do yourself a favour and have dinner here :)

I had a wonderful dining experience at this pizzeria. The restaurant is led by an authentic Italian chef, and you can immediately tell the passion and expertise that go into every pizza. The quality of the ingredients is exceptional, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and cozy, making it an ideal place to enjoy a meal with family or friends. The location is convenient and easy to find, adding to the overall great experience. Most importantly, the pizza is outstanding. The crust is perfectly baked with a light, crispy texture, while the toppings are generous, fresh, and full of authentic Italian flavor. Every bite tastes like a true slice of Italy. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for high-quality pizza, excellent service, and a genuine Italian dining experience. I'll definitely be coming back!

We had a delicious meal at Casa Mia Pizzeria last night. The owners/staff are incredibly friendly. I had a tuna pizza, and my friend had spaghetti carbonara. I haven't had such a delicious pizza in ages. The pizza base... wow! The spaghetti carbonara was also divine. We enjoyed it with a delicious red wine – it was a fantastic dinner. PLEASE NOTE: The current owners took over the pizzeria in February. The negative reviews are directed at the previous manager.

Wow, absolutely fantastic meal and great service. The pizza was easily the best we have had in SE Asia. I have no idea how they get the quality of ingredients all the way to Koh Rong! Also, the wine was great (Amarone) and Aperol Spritz. Would highly recommend.

New owner 🍕 I went to eat at Casa Mia a few days ago. Everything was PERFECT : the decor is beautiful, the staff is very friendly, and on top of that the food is delicious. The chef is Italian, and you can really taste it in the dishes. I had the carbonara pasta, and they were the best I’ve ever eaten!! 🍝

Great authentic ingredients, Carbonara was Incredible! Valerio the Italian Chef was also very nice. 5 stars!

Food was great!! Food comes when ready which is fine as we were sharing both dishes! Service was a bit slower but we did arrive just as a big group sat down! Which we knew so we ordered quick but the waiter was brilliant otherwise. Pizza was really tasty and the pad Thai is one of the best we’ve had!! Recommend a visit whilst on the island

The vibe is really chill and relaxing. Price is acceptable. Their pizza can never go wrong. Thin, yet crispy and flavourful. Chicken wings fried with some beers are great pairs. Staff are very friendly too.

If you're looking for a place that has it all, this restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for an amazing dining experience. The pizza was a highlight— 24 hours, perfectly crispy crust, toppings. Each bite was a testament to their dedication to quality. If you're a pizza lover, this is a must-try! Their rice dishes were equally impressive. Whether you're in the mood for something classic or adventurous, their rice dishes are flavors and cooked to perfection. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of noodles they offer, each dish with its own unique flair. The balance of seasoning and texture was spot on, making it a satisfying choice for noodle enthusiasts. To top it all off, their drink selection was outstanding. From refreshing beverages to perfectly paired drinks with the food, everything com

You can ask for fried rice with no egg to get a vegetarian dish, they also had nice but super oily French fries

Very good food on island the owner so friendly highly recommend this place. at (long set) My friends eat phai Thai so good and delicious 😋

the best coffee on long set!! the offer oat milk and special flavor coffees. the women in the shop is always so kind, and she is so quick. the cups the coffee is served in are such good quality! better than back home. honestly the best coffee i’ve had in the past 3 months while traveling. you need to visit ava cafe! (drink pictures is caramel iced latte with oat milk)

Amazing coffee and reasonably priced. Lovely owner - always smiling and has a cute puppy 🩵

Nice staff, good coffee. Got the iced vanilla latte. Wish they had more fans in the seating area and more dessert options

best quality coffee we have had so far on the island, long beach area !!! strong and yummy!!! super friendly service :)

Perfect coffee is hard to come by on the island but they do it right! Very friendly staff too :)

I had the best avocado toast of my entire trip at this restaurant! If you’re visiting Bella Vista, you absolutely have to try their avocado toast. The lovely woman who made mine was so kind and even shared that the bread is based on her grandmother’s recipe—it truly feels and taste like it’s made with love. Their iced tea is also incredibly delicious. The place is just an authentic, cozy spot.

The best coffee on the island! Francesca, the owner, is a super sweet Italian lady who puts so much love and care in everything she does. I visited everyday to enjoy a nice cappuccino with a piece of cake and a nice talk in a calm and peaceful environment with open view on the beach just in front. Couldn’t recommend it more.

Very cute Italian cafe with a lovely Italian woman running it. She makes the piadina to order so its the freshest you will ever get it. You’ll see her roll out the dough before your eyes!

Super nice little Italian coffee house with the loveliest Italian lady running it. We only had a couple of coffees but next time will have some food too. Needless to say they have a top view in Koh Rong and a chill vibe.

Lovely little hidden gem with a great view of the pier in Koh rong! I had a fantastic caramel iced latte and an Italian breakfast bread with eggs. The vibes are lovely quiet and peaceful and they have some good books to read and very cute cats 😊
