Most horrible place on the whole island. Everything is nice except this dilapidated guesthouse. Absolutely everything is broken and the staff are standing in a food truck across the street with terribly bright lighting. Zero atmosphere and a dangerous floor. The sink hangs from a flimsy iron bracket and there are dirty stains on the mattress. Truly unbelievably filthy; you’d be better off sleeping on the beach.
WARNING! DRUNK STAFF
The reply from the hostel does not reflect what actually happened.
I do not recommend staying at this hostel. Be careful.
When I arrived, the entire staff was drunk. The man who showed me the room was so intoxicated that he didn’t even notice he was showing me a dirty room. When I pointed it out, he told me to wait and said that a woman would come and clean it.
I waited. When I came back and wanted to take a shower, it turned out there was no water. I told him that I didn’t like the place — he was drunk, the room was dirty, I didn’t feel safe, and there was no water — and I asked for a refund.
At first, he agreed. But when we went downstairs, everything escalated into an argument. He started shouting at me and insulting me. I won’t quote what he said because the language was extremely vulgar. He was yelling so aggressively that he even spat on me and grabbed my arm.
I kept asking for a refund, but I never got my money back. I decided I wouldn’t stay there for even a moment. Unfortunately, I had already paid for four nights in advance, so I had to leave without a refund and urgently look for another place to stay, as there was no way I could remain in such conditions.
I strongly advise against staying there.
