Greenhouse Retreat is a hotel in Sen Monorom, Cambodia, set on landscaped grounds a short way outside town. Rooms are spacious, clean and air-conditioned, and deluxe bungalows are available for guests who want more separation from the rest of the property, each with a lanai and hammock. There is a swimming pool, and food is served on site.
The setting is quiet and the property is used as a base for day trips in the surrounding area, including jungle trekking to see elephants. The pool gives guests somewhere to cool off after a long day out. The retreat has handled larger groups as well as couples travelling on their own.
The hotel is run by Sam and his family alongside the staff, and the manager speaks English. Access by road has been difficult, though roadworks were under way at the time of the most recent guest visits. Greenhouse Retreat suits travellers who want a calm base outside...

The property can be contacted by phone on +855 17 905 659. Deluxe bungalows are the option to request if you want more privacy than a standard room. Rooms can get cold at night and the blankets provided are thin, so bring warm layers if you are sensitive to the cold. Access by road is currently difficult while roadworks continue.
The hotel premises are beautiful. The rooms are spacious. Food is good, and it’s a very relaxing place to stay. The manager is very kind and speaks good English. It’s a bit hard to get to at the moment but they are currently working the road , so when that’s done I can imagine access will be much better.
Either way! I recommend.
My wife and I spent 3 wonderful days at this lovely resort! The staff were friendly and attentive. We chose a deluxe bungalow because we wanted a little more privacy. The view from the lanai was great for relaxing in the hammock. The pool was very nice especially after spending a full day of trekking in the jungle to see elephants. The only drawback that comes to mind is that the bath towels were poor quality and kind of dingy with stains. But that’s a small thing that can be easily corrected. All things considered, this is the best resort in the area and if you’re going travel all the way to Mondulkiri you may as well choose the best spot available. Oh, and breakfast was included in the price which was a nice perk.
A very poor service from the manager. He wanted us to pay for his sheet because my son had a wound and some iodine got on it. Meanwhile, their sheets were in poor condition and had holes in them.
After I refused to pay, he said that he will call the police and tried to stop me from leaving. He said that we won’t be able to leave his guesthouse before we pay.
Also, it was extremely cold in the rooms, and their blankets were only thin. After I asked for additional blankets for my children and myself they brought thin throws that didn’t help, and we got very cold the next night. After we asked for more blankets, they said there are no more available.
The food was very poor quality as well, so I won’t recommend to eat at their restaurant.
Overall, poor experience, not recommended.
Absolutely loved this hotel and retreat! The rooms were clean and air conditioned, the food was amazing and the staff were incredible. We had a large group and are not easy to accommodate and Sam and his family and staff could not have been more helpful. The beauty on the property is unmatched and breathtaking. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone.
