BEST place you could go to. I’m not exaggerating when I say that Kim, the host and chef cook, is making by far the most delicious food we’ve had in entire Cambodia. Unlike at many other places, everything is prepared freshly, (fish is bought from local fishers on the same day), a difference you can taste. No matter what you order, it’s just heavenly. The hosts are heartily welcoming, generous and honest people.
About the rooms: We stayed here for 5 nights and wished it could’ve been a year. It’s located right at the beach, we had a stunning view of the shore right before our door. It offers everything you need, has the best service and many nice and fun activities. It’s just the best, and we would not hesitate a second to come again.
Fairly poor accommodation. The rooms are windowless and a bit grotty. As they are windowless, they also get quite hot. The shared bathroom was not very clean and didn't have toilet paper. The location is very good,on the beachfront, and service was fine.
A lot of the positive reviews seem to be about the restaurant, and the food there was very good. But the accommodation looks to be the worst in all of Mpai bay; all of the other places seemed much nicer (they had windows at least). I'd recommend staying elsewhere.
We stayed here 3 nights and Kim was a great host. Rooms were nice considering the location and the fact there private rooms, in comparison to the hostels in the area. We had smoothies most days and they were extremely tasty every time. Would definitely recommend.
This is THE BEST place on the island. The family running the business is incredibly friendly and makes you feel at home from day 1. We really felt like being with family. They have private rooms with private bathroom or private rooms with shared bathroom. Rooms and facilities are clean and very spacious. The owners do not speak English but communication was always easy. Either with our hands or Google translate, we never had any issue. Tap water and coffee is free for the guests sleeping here. The place is right on the beach so you’ll step on the beach right from the doorstep. On top of this, they make AMAZING food and portions are abundant. We came to stay a couple of days but we’re ending up staying weeks. It’s truly such a gem.
Really enjoyed my stay. The rooms are quite basic: a bed, a fan, a padlock (no wifi) but the staff and the location more than make up for any inconvenience. Kim is a very hospitable host and the food, especially the bbq, was great.
