Golden Crab Boutique

Royal Kampot KTV is 2.4 km north-east of Golden Crab Boutique — about 30 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “bars”.

The other place under “bars” within reach of Golden Crab Boutique is High Tide Kampot (4.3 km).

Royal Kampot KTV is a karaoke bar in central Kampot that operates around the clock. The venue offers private karaoke rooms, including a Diamond room noted for its appearance, and serves food described as healthy and fast-casual in style. The setting attracts both local and visiting clientele.

Guests consistently praise the friendliness of staff and describe receiving respectful treatment during their visits. The management and female staff members draw particular mention for attentiveness. Some visitors highlight the VIP treatment available to clients. One reservation worth noting: the cashier service has been flagged as disorganized by at least one visitor, though this does not reflect the broader feedback about the venue's hospitality.

The bar is open every day of the week without closing time, making it accessible at any hour. It sits on NR3 highway in Kampot town. The venue appears to suit groups looking for private karaoke sessions and those seeking a social environment with attentive service, though those sensitive to administrative efficiency at the payment stage may want to mentally prepare for a slower checkout.

Seahorse Statue is 2.7 km north-east of Golden Crab Boutique — a short ride rather than a walk. It is the closest place to the hotel under “sights”.

The next two places under “sights” from Golden Crab Boutique are Farm Link (3.0 km) and Krong Kampot (3.3 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Situated on Kampot's riverfront, the Seahorse Statue is a modest public landmark that serves as a focal point for the town's waterside area. The statue itself is relatively small, but it anchors a broader riverside promenade where locals and visitors gather, particularly in the early morning and evening hours.

Visitors consistently praise the statue's setting rather than the monument itself. The riverside boardwalk draws people for morning exercise and sunset strolls, with most guests noting the pleasant atmosphere of the area and recommending the walk for its views across the water toward surrounding mountains and the town. The statue is particularly photogenic at night when lit with coloured lights, and many visitors mention taking photos here as part of exploring Kampot. The wider riverfront area sees foot traffic from locals, families, and tourists, with coffee shops nearby. One visitor noted the water can encroach on the walkway during certain conditions, worth bearing in mind during wet months. A few guests felt the statue itself is not remarkable compared to other Kampot landmarks, though most still recommend a visit as part of experiencing the town's relaxed character.

The area is accessible at any time, though it's most rewarding in early morning or at dusk when locals exercise and the light is best for photographs. The riverfront walk extends roughly two kilometres, so plan accordingly if you want to explore beyond the statue itself. It suits anyone seeking a quiet, low-key activity and a sense of Kampot's unhurried rhythm rather than a major attraction.

The Pig Pen BBQ is 2.8 km north-east of Golden Crab Boutique — a short ride rather than a walk. It is the closest place to the hotel under “restaurants”.

The next two places under “restaurants” from Golden Crab Boutique are Vanna Restaurant & Bar in Kampot (2.8 km) and Laundry Cafe Burger Bar (2.9 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Right on the riverside strip in Kampot, this barbecue spot serves American-style smoked and grilled meats among the many restaurants and bars lining the water. The menu runs to pulled pork, ribs, and sandwiches, served with sides such as fries, coleslaw, and mash and gravy, plus a range of sauces to choose from.

Reviewers are largely enthusiastic about the quality of the barbecue itself, with pulled pork and ribs singled out as standouts and portions described as generous. Service is frequently praised, including mentions of the owner, Ryan, and a welcoming waitstaff. That said, the experience is not universally consistent: one visitor who had previously loved the place reported a noticeable drop in food standards on a later visit, describing a disappointing pasta dish and staff dimming the lights while diners were still eating close to closing time. The sauce selection was also called merely average by one guest, and the fries, while liked for being unusual, were noted as somewhat oily.

The restaurant is open daily from 8 in the morning to 10 at night, though it appears to close on Sundays. Given one report of the kitchen winding down before the posted closing time, it is worth arriving with enough margin before 10pm if you want a relaxed meal rather than a rushed one. It suits travellers looking for a change from Khmer food, especially those craving proper barbecue and comfort dishes while spending an evening along the riverside strip.

Vanna Restaurant & Bar in Kampot is 2.8 km north-east of Golden Crab Boutique — a short ride rather than a walk. It is among the three closest places to the hotel under “restaurants”.

The next two places under “restaurants” from Golden Crab Boutique are The Pig Pen BBQ (2.8 km) and Laundry Cafe Burger Bar (2.9 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Vanna Restaurant & Bar sits on Street number 735 in Kampot, serving a menu that ranges from Khmer-leaning dishes like squid with green pepper and chicken satay to French-influenced plates such as pan-fried chicken breast in a special sauce. Portions are generously described by regulars, desserts get particular attention, and the setting is described as relaxed rather than formal, the kind of place suited to a proper sit-down evening meal rather than a quick bite.

Guests are consistently enthusiastic here, with the ice cream, palm sugar and grilled pineapple dessert coming up again and again as a highlight, alongside dishes like the beef saraman, fried shrimp and the chicken avocado salad, which is offered in two portion sizes. Several reviewers single out the owner, described as French and attentive, for spending real time talking diners through the extensive menu. The one point of disagreement is seasoning: while most find the food well balanced, at least one visitor found the sauce on the signature Vanna chicken too sour, so those sensitive to acidity might ask before ordering.

The restaurant is open daily from 11am to 11pm except Saturdays, when it is closed, and Sundays, when it opens later in the evening from 5pm. Given the size of the menu and the care taken over recommendations, it suits diners happy to take a little time choosing rather than those in a rush. It works well for a relaxed lunch or a longer evening meal, and the consistently high volume of positive feedback suggests booking ahead or arriving without a strict time pressure, particularly if planning to try one of the more elaborate dishes or desserts.

Golden Hands Massage & Spa is 2.8 km north-east of Golden Crab Boutique — a short ride rather than a walk. It is the closest place to the hotel under “spa & wellness”.

The next two places under “spa & wellness” from Golden Crab Boutique are Bali Massage Kampot (3.0 km) and Nibi Spa (8.7 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

A massage and spa house in Kampot offering aromatherapy, facial, and traditional Khmer massage in private treatment rooms, with tea or lemon tea served on arrival and again at the end of the session. Reviewers describe a clean, fragrant interior with a calm, almost Bali-like décor, and staff who greet guests warmly, sometimes beginning treatments with a foot-cleaning ritual. Rooms have adjustable air conditioning, and the overall setting is described as spotless and peaceful.

Guests are consistently positive about the quality of the massages, with several calling their session among the best they have had and returning for a second visit during their stay. The Khmer massage and aromatherapy-and-face treatment both draw specific praise, and one visitor mentioned falling asleep mid-treatment. A recurring practical plus is that the spa accepts card payment, unusual for Kampot. The one discordant note concerns front-desk service: one guest reported a billing dispute handled poorly, with a staff member reacting with visible irritation rather than resolving the mistake calmly, though the same reviewer still praised the massage itself. Another minor gripe was the pillow-elevated headrest on the massage bed, which one visitor found less comfortable than a face-hole design.

The spa is open daily from 10 am to 10 pm, so it works for both an afternoon break and an evening wind-down. It suits travellers looking for a relaxing, well-kept spot with attentive treatment quality, and is worth booking again if you enjoyed your first visit, as several guests did. Given the one report of a front-desk mix-up, it is worth checking your bill before paying, though this does not appear to reflect the general standard of service.

Kampot Adventure Tours is 2.9 km north-east of Golden Crab Boutique — a short ride rather than a walk.

Kampot Adventure Tours operates kayaking and quad bike excursions around Kampot, with tours typically lasting four hours. Visitors depart from the riverside near Starbucks for guided trips that combine boat transport to launch points with time on the water through mangrove areas. The outfit also offers kayak rentals for independent paddlers. Tours include stops at local attractions such as salt lakes, pagodas, and coconut beaches, with some including visits to salt farming families.

Guides consistently receive praise for local knowledge and attentiveness. Visitors mention that both the boat rides to kayak spots and the paddling itself are engaging, with mangrove sections described as quiet and tranquil. One guide named Chris appears across multiple positive reviews. A quad bike tour visitor noted complimentary refreshments and an introduction to a local salt farming family. However, one visitor renting a kayak at 4pm found that the transport ride back and forth from the main office to the kayak launch point was not included in the rental price, so clarify what is covered before booking. Another visitor experienced a capsized kayak early in their trip but reported the guides responded helpfully.

Tours suit visitors seeking outdoor activity combined with local insight rather than purely leisure time. Morning departures appear common. Wear clothes you are willing to get wet and dirty, and bring sunglasses for water glare. Book ahead through the office on Street 722 in central Kampot. If you are renting rather than joining a guided tour, confirm transport arrangements and costs upfront.

Laundry Cafe Burger Bar is 2.9 km north-east of Golden Crab Boutique — a short ride rather than a walk. It is among the three closest places to the hotel under “restaurants”.

The next two places under “restaurants” from Golden Crab Boutique are The Pig Pen BBQ (2.8 km) and Vanna Restaurant & Bar in Kampot (2.8 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Laundry Cafe Burger Bar is a casual burger restaurant on Street 74 in central Kampot, serving made-to-order burgers alongside steaks and fries. The space has a relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff and a music playlist that suits lingering over a meal. Portions are generous.

Visitors consistently praise the quality of the beef patties, which are juicy and cooked well, paired with fresh buns and thoughtful topping combinations—the swiss cheese and jalapeño cheese fries appear frequently in reviews. Prices are reasonable for the quality; a Friday discount brings most burgers down to $5. The main drawback is popularity: the restaurant draws crowds, and waits of around 40 minutes are common during peak times. One reviewer noted the buns could benefit from more toasting, though this is a minor note among otherwise strong feedback.

The restaurant opens daily from noon to 10 PM, making it suitable for lunch or dinner. It works well if you're staying in Kampot town and want a reliable meal without fuss. Plan to arrive outside busy hours if you prefer not to wait, or embrace the wait as part of the experience—the volume of returning visitors suggests most think it worthwhile. It suits travellers craving straightforward, quality burgers rather than fine dining.

Blend House Cafè & Zen House Yoga is 2.9 km north-east of Golden Crab Boutique — a short ride rather than a walk. It is the closest place to the hotel under “cafés & bakeries”.

The next two places under “cafés & bakeries” from Golden Crab Boutique are Douceurs de Kampot (3.0 km) and The Bookshop, Kampot (3.1 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Blend House Cafè & Zen House Yoga sits down a small alleyway off the riverfront road in Kampot, combining a café with a yoga studio upstairs. The daily menu runs to bagels made fresh in house, smoothie bowls, and coffee, with both indoor and outdoor seating for those who want to linger over breakfast or a midday coffee.

Visitors consistently mention the calm, welcoming atmosphere and the attentiveness of the staff, often naming the owners Chris and Ali directly for their warmth. The smoked salmon bagel, smashed avo bagel, and protein smoothie bowl come up repeatedly as favourites, alongside praise for the coffee and flat white. Several guests who joined the yoga classes describe them as genuinely grounding, and the combined Backpacker Package of a class plus food is mentioned as good value. Oat milk availability is called out as a welcome plus for those who need it. No complaints or caveats surface in the reviews, though more than one visitor admits to returning day after day, which suggests the appeal holds up beyond a single visit.

The café opens at 8am and closes at 3pm every day except Thursday, when it is shut, so this is a breakfast-and-lunch spot rather than an evening one. It suits travellers looking for a quiet break from Kampot's busier bar streets, and is worth building a morning around if you want to try a yoga class before or after eating, since sessions run upstairs on a daily basis. Given the alleyway location, it helps to know roughly where you are heading rather than expecting it to be visible from the main road.
