The hostel sits on a section of the Kampot river, in Kampot, Cambodia. The river frontage gives it views of Bokor Mountain. Guests can get out onto the water directly from the property by kayak.
Seems like the bedsheets & pillow covers were not changed at all from previous guests. Photo was the dirty stains on pillow covers. It was gross. Bathroom was dirty. When you step into the room, you will feel like they don’t really clean for next arrival of guests. It made me off. I used to like staying there a lot last year, really disappointed this time and won’t come to stay here again until maybe when they improve their cleanliness, room & services. Things weren’t nice as before. Big disappointment.
I saw a few negative reviews about Funky Moon, but I decided to give it a try anyway because of all the good reviews and the beautiful pictures. My experience was honestly great! I wanted to stay at a hostel by the river, so I booked one night first to see how it was. The staff were super friendly and made me feel at home, the pets….
Located on a beautiful section of the river, you can spend the sunset looking at the fantastic scenery of bokor mountain and enjoying the tranquil vibe at funky moon. You can take a kayak out and explore the river, chill in a hammock or spend time with the amazing crew that make it all possible.
I would like to share my bad experience with Funky Moon Kampot. The staff who responded to my message on their Facebook page was very rude and disrespectful. When I tried to ask for more details, the staff did not respond in a respectful way.
I would like to suggest that the management check their staff’s attitude. The staff should be more friendly, professional, and helpful when communicating with customers.
Had a great time at Funky Moon. Love the evening vibes and the mountain view. You can order food and drinks at a very good price just like what they advertise.
The staffs were so kind and helpful.
