Absolutely fantastic stay at Family Motel. The place is exceptionally clean—honestly far above South East Asia standard. Everything still feels brand new, from the rooms to the furniture. It is obvious that a lot of care has gone into the property. I paid just $20 for one night as a solo traveller, including Wi-Fi and air conditioning—excellent value. The location is quiet but close to restaurants and the local market. The location in Krong Preah Vihear is ideal: close to restaurants and the local market, but still quiet and peaceful at night. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. She does not speak English, but communication was easy. Highly recommended for anyone staying in Krong Preah Vihear.

This was a great stay, cheap. But the rooms are high quality! I've stayed in many places but this is one of the only places where they've actually sloped the floor in the bathrooms towards the drain. No standing water, it all goes away. That's attention to detail. It was a wonderful stay, I'd absolutely stay again. Loved the sound of the squeaky frogs at night.
