Emerald BB Battambang Hotel is a budget-friendly accommodation in central Battambang. The property retains character from its colonial past, with solid wood railings and granite staircase. Rooms are simply furnished with firm beds and basic amenities. The hotel suits budget-conscious travellers looking for affordable, no-frills lodging in the city.
A mini market is located directly across the road. The hotel is near schools, keeping the immediate area relatively quiet. Note that the building and its fittings show age—guests should expect a dated property rather than modern finishes.

Good to know
Rooms require a key card inserted in a wall switch to power the air conditioning and fridge; guests should request a second key card to keep items refrigerated while out. Some power outlets are worn and may not hold plugs securely. Some remotes and fixtures (TV remotes, bedside lamps, cable TV) may not work reliably.
This has to be one of my favorite hotel in Battambang, Cambodia. The room we got is very spacious with two king size bed and extra furniture. The bathroom is very big and spacious with a jacuzzi inside. The bathroom is a bit outdated though.
Unfortunately I would not recommend this hotel. From the moment we arrived to when we left things were just getting worse. I don’t like leaving negative reviews but I think people should know what to expect.
We was only given 1 key but you need to have the key for power, meaning while we was out our air con and fridge was not powered so once we got back to our room it was very hot and all our water was warm.
In our room wasn’t very clean at all with lipstick stains on the wall and a red stain on the mirror that I couldn’t get off. The bath was also dirty needing a hose down before I got in it.
With that the bath also doesn’t work properly, you can wash but it isn’t a pleasant experience. You have to fill that tub up with the shower hose that was not only cold but didn’t have much power. To work the jets in the bath wasn’t possible as all the button was missing. After a long time waiting for the bath to fill and having a cold wash I couldn’t drain the bath as the plug was broken. Scooping out the dirty bath water with a bin to try get this plug out. House maintenance came up and got the plug out but didn’t fix the issue, so for the last night I was taking a very cold drippy shower with a hand held hose.
Key card was temperamental as well had to be kept away form any other contact less cards otherwise it will stop working.
I was going to move past all of this however on my last night I was woken up twice but a itchy burning sensation up my back legs. Getting up twice I hos
Lost cost accommodation. This clearly was an amazing place 30 years ago can be seen from the massive solid wood railings and granite staircase but it is now tired. Get a second key card — to keep anything refrigerated cool else all power is off when the room key is out of the wall switch. Many of the power outlets have been overused and the device slips out of the socket. There’s schools next door but you don’t know, so quiet. Mini market directly across the road. Aside from cleaners the staff are irrelevant. Get a good tuktuk driver and you will have a good visit.
Stayed here several times, but last three times, rooms we had, water wasn't hot. Tried to turn the shower knob both ways to test which side is for hot water. Usually, the left side is for hot water. Anyway last stay, ending up switchIng the room.
AC and TV remotes did not work on the first click, old batteries! Have to shake the remote to make it work.
Nice hotel. Great firm beds. Jacuzzi tub was not working. Cable TV went down on my floor on day 3, nobody seemed to be in a hurry to get it fixed. Moving up the street tomorrow to the Classy hotel and spa. Took a tour of the facility today. WOW
Beautiful pool, hot and cold water sauna’s. Steam room as well as hot sauna. Looks like the also provide professional masseuse, breakfast included each morning. I can’t wait.
