Nice place to stay. Nice environment. The 70 years old charming owner lady can speak French. She doesn't look her age at all. Her children speak English. Standard rooms at 8 or 15 USD.

The good thing about Chantea Borint is it's out-door area by the reception. A very spacious, shady place, almost in colonial style... Perfect for a beer in the evenings. The bad is that Chantea has been around for many years, and feels a little "rusty". The rooms are cramped, like in the old days, even though they now have large flat-screens of good quality (not the small, cheap ones which are so common nowadays). The fans are wall-mounted, which never is a good thing. I much prefer the big, floor-types. One positive thing is that it's centrally located, so not very far away from "the action" downtown. For a couple of days, Chantea offers a pleasant stay. Prices range from 8-15 USD. 😃

Nice surrounding environment. Big parking lots. Tranquil setting. The room is well equipped with a mini fridge, a telly, AC, fan. Restroom is clean and has hot&cold water.

The garden is a great place to sit if you can borrow a fan to keep the mossies away and to offset the humidity. Never fun to be sweating un-necessarily. Both the $6 and $8 rooms are neglected and in need of attention. Owners are helpful when there is a commission to be earned, not so helpful with non-commission questions.
