We stayed here for about a week. The food is phenomenal. The rooms are incredibly clean.
We switched between Karuna and Kampot rooms located on the ground floor. There was no noise that came in.
We ate here for as many meals as we could. Easily the best vegan food available in Kampot.
It's situated very close to the river. It's nice to go for a run along the river in the mornings.
I would say the highlight is the host, Ly. Absolutely amazing person. Ly cares so deeply about the experience of the guests here. I would say Ly is the element that makes Metta feel complete, and feel like you're back home after a long day of exploring!
Bonus tip - ask Ly where you can find the BEST coffee you've ever had, and will ever have!!
Really impressed by the vegan Nom Pang! It's really hard to find a dedicated vegan one on the streets - so while it was pricier (as expected) at $5, I felt like the experience was worth it. There was a generous amount of vegan spam and sauces. The place didn't have aircon but there is a standing fan - so took mine out as takeaway. But I was really blown away from the Nom Pang.
The food here is made with love and you can taste it. My favourite is the Big Hearty Vegan Breakfast but I’ve tried most things on the menu and they are all delicious. Really lovely peaceful roof terrace to enjoy your food on, read a book and listen to the birds…
I love here so much💖 It true to its name, Metta offers such a warm and kind environment. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. A beautiful room, comfortable, silent, high quality guesthouse that I’ll definitely visit again in kampot ✨❤️
Spent a week at this lovely guest house and had a great experience! Liz, the host, is super friendly and always available either in person or just a text away, if you need anything, including recommendations. The beds were very comfortable, the showers were great, and the AC worked well. I stayed during the low season, so it was nice and quiet. I would highly recommend staying here, and if I find myself in Kampot again, I would definitely choose to stay here again.
