Really lovely hotel. The best part is that this hotel focuses on ethical and sustainable tourism so you are directly contributing to empowering Cambodians to overcome poverty and become hospitality leaders. All of the staff were so kind and helpful. The hotel and rooms are cute and comfortable. There’s free drinking water stations, a shaded pool with pool towels and many sun beds, and a delicious breakfast and restaurant. The hotel is walking distance (15 minutes) to the lively riverside and pub street area but sits on a quiet side dirt road so you don’t hear the noise of the main streets.
We hired the entire hotel for a week for our volunteer team of 18. The service was impeccable, the food and beverages were amazing, the entire staff at Baby Elephant were phenomenal. Special thanks to Ms Pisey and Chen who go above and beyond for our team. We are always so excited to return year after year! 10/10 across the board!
I keep coming back to Baby Elephant! It’s the perfect place to spend a few days or longer in comfort and kindness. The restaurant offers great vegetarian and vegan options at the small poolside cafe (breakfasts are included in the cost of your room), and the anticipation of a renewing dip in the pool is what keeps me going through a hot day touring temples. I will be back!
Recently stayed at this lovely hotel and had an amazing time. The staff were so kind, friendly, and helpful. Fresh and affordable food, breakfast included, and a great pool area, and yoga studio. You can set up guides and transportation with the hotel if you'd like. My wife took advantage of the in house spa which she loved, and it was amazing to end our days seeing the resident pet dog and cat, Happy and Xanadu. Next time we're back in Siem reap we will definitely be staying here again!
We only took a cooking class and didn't stay there, but we so wish we did!
Our teacher was super friendly, took us on a market tour for all the ingredients, adapted the dishes to our vegan diet and explained everything step by step.
The best thing: we were able to cook and eat our meals in the absolutely beautiful garden of the hotel and use their swimming pool for free! The atmosphere was the most relaxed we've had in a hotel for a long time and we didn't want to leave the covered chill area in the garden. Can only recommend this place!
