About The Embassy Angkor Resort & Spa

The Embassy Angkor Resort & Spa is a resort hotel in Siem Reap, Cambodia, set in a green, peaceful area a little outside the busiest part of town. The property is built around an infinity pool and includes a circular restaurant and an on-site spa. Many of its rooms and suites come with a private pool.

Room categories range from the Classic Suite and Royal Classic Suite through to the Suite Pool View, Suite Private Pool and Family Suite Private Pool, giving options for couples as well as families. The resort suits travellers who want a quiet base to unwind after visiting the Angkor temples, with a spa on site and a restaurant serving breakfast and meals.

Because it sits a short distance from the city centre, the resort is a practical choice for guests happy to use transport into town, whether for temple visits or evenings on Pub Street.

  • Private-pool suites
  • Infinity pool
  • On-site spa
  • Circular restaurant
  • Complimentary tuk-tuk rides
  • Five suite categories

The area

The resort is located a little outside the more crowded parts of Siem Reap, in a peaceful, green setting. It is a 5 to 10-minute tuk-tuk ride to Pub Street. A free shuttle service and ride-hailing options such as Grab are available for getting into town.

Good to know

The resort is a short distance from the city centre rather than right in it, so guests rely on the free shuttle, complimentary tuk-tuk rides, or services like Grab to reach the riverside and markets. An on-site spa and restaurant are available for guests who prefer to stay on the property.

My stay at The Embassy Angkor Resort & Spa was fantastic overall. The absolute highlight of this hotel is undoubtedly the staff: the employees are incredibly nice, helpful, and truly anticipate your every need. You feel genuinely welcomed from the very first moment. I opted for one of the suites with a private pool and can highly recommend this room category. It offers a lot of privacy and is an absolute dream. I am sure it would be especially great for couples looking for a quiet oasis after exploring the temples. In general, the value for money at this resort is simply perfect. You get truly exceptional quality and facilities for what you pay. As a small piece of constructive feedback for the hotel, I would just like to mention that the water for the bathtub unfortunately didn't get really hot, but only lukewarm. That was a bit of a pity, but it didn't really impact my otherwise wonderful stay. All in all, a great resort with a fantastic team. Anyone traveling to Siem Reap is making an excellent choice with The Embassy Angkor!

I had a wonderful stay at the Embassy hotel! Rooms are very spatious and well equipped with AC, bathtub, TV, minibar. Pool area is quiet, food in the restaurant is nice (tho not as "local" as in the city, understandably). Breakfast is superb, you can get stuff from a buffet as well as order regular dishes. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Can only recommend and would love to come back. 4 stars for location as the hotel is a bit further from the city center (riverside and markets), but there is a free shuttle and Grab is also very convenient.

I can confidently say this was the best hotel in our Vietnam/Cambodia trip. I seldomly give a five star or 10 out of 10 review but in this case it deserves even more as it far surpasses any other five star reviews of hotels. The customer service is exemplary, far beyond expectations with a special mention to Mon, the general manager who made our stay memorable. The attention to detail, care, hospitality, in-house food quality and value for money were all stellar with a beautiful swimming pool and fitness center which catered to every level of fitness and overlooking the pool which made it feel luxurious. Pool is well maintained, beautiful and big enough to cater to young and old. The staff was super friendly, professional and caring. The rooms are spacious and especially the private pool villas which boast a beautiful private pool, and fantastic amenities. I cannot stress enough nor thank enough the team for an unforgettable stay. Highly recommend.

We had just finished a very hectic tour which ended in Siem Reap, and chose The Embassy based on the reviews, facilities and character for our final 3 days of relaxation in Cambodia. We were not disappointed when we arrived. The staff made us feel so welcome and we were so thrilled with our room with private pool. We also really admired the stunning decor throughout the resort on the walk to the room. There is an amazing spa on-site which we utilised one afternoon. Breakfast is served in elegant surroundings with an amazing choice of a la carte options as well as an extensive buffet. The resort pool was beautiful both day and night. Let's not forget the well equipped gym, on-site bar, library, free tuk tuk to town and last but not least...afternoon tea which had a local delicacy served daily. Thank you to Mr Leap for looking after us and making sure to enquire how we were during our stay via whatsapp. lf you crave luxury, amazing facilities with attentive staff in beautiful surroundings....this is just the spot for you!! I won't forget their hospitality in a hurry. Thank you for a wonderful stay. P.S. I forgot to stay how comfortable the huge bed was with quality linen as well

Very sad to be leaving the Embassy Angkor hotel today. It’s been the highlight of our 7 week trip so far, and the huge room with private pool, breakfast, bar, gorgeous pool and the thoughtful complimentary tuk tuk rides have been amazing. Above all, what makes this place is the staff - some of the kindest, most helpful, sweetest & genuine people. Huge thanks to Lin, Chen, Sokhim, Polin, Savid, Roth, Ghech, Puthy and apologies to anyone else we haven’t mentioned! Can highly recommend the Floating Village trip by tuk tuk (ask for Chen), and we used a great guide (Chhong) booked by the hotel for our Angkor Wat day trip. The best hotel, utterly delighted we booked to stay here.

Mari Café

Restaurants 288.1 km 4.4/5 on Google

Mari Café is 288.1 km south-east of The Embassy Angkor Resort & Spa — a short ride rather than a walk.

Mari Café is a casual restaurant in Me Sang District, Svay Rieng, operating from early morning to evening. It serves as a neighbourhood spot for breakfast and lunch, opening at 6:00 AM and staying open until 8:00 PM daily.

Visitor feedback is sparse, though one review suggests caution about the beverage selection or quality. With only a handful of reviews on record, there is limited insight into what the kitchen does well or where expectations might not be met.

The café suits early risers and those seeking a simple meal in the area. It is open seven days a week, making it a reliable option for regular visitors to Me Sang District. Arrive during standard daytime hours for the best experience, as is typical for small-town Cambodian cafés.
