we had a fantastic stay in the sea view bungalow. the bungalow had everything we needed: air con, shower, comfy bed, balcony with a hammock and a gorgeous view. the owner is absolutely lovely, so accommodating and friendly - even when we slept in and didn’t check out until nearly 1pm he just giggled and wished us well on our travels! the walk up the hill to get there is worth it and we were happy to get our steps up. only thing i would say is don’t keep food in your room as you are in the jungle and critters can get in! would absolutely stay here again, 10/10.
What a fantastic place to stay on your trip to Koh Rong.
I chose this place due to the good reviews online and I was not disappointed.
Upon arrival I was told I was given Bungalow 7, and was told it’s a fair walk up the hill, but was assured the view was worth it.
It was a fair stomp up, but the reward was what I would say one of the best views of the bay available. The room was basic with fans and a shower. It’s enough for what you need. AC and perhaps a cooler would have been nice to have cold beer and water, but that would only be a wish list.
The Hammond on the balcony was amazing to laze on and watch the fantastic view.
The food in the restaurant was good value and quality and you can hire scooters for $10 a day which I did and was a great day.
I would stay here again if I came back to the island
The hotel is magical! The location on the island is superb, close to shops, restaurants and beaches. We were even able to walk to the nestival. The host is very helpful, kind and gives great tips! He recommended a non-touristy, heavenly beach close to the hotel. We were able to rent scooters for a good price, which made it easy to get around the island. The bungalows were very large, clean and above all very peaceful. The terrace is very pleasant. This hotel is truly paradise - don't miss out!
Ideal location and very good restaurant. We had booked a bungalow with a sea view, accessible after a steep climb. The bungalow was very rustic, and we were awakened by the heat due to a power cut (common on Koh Rong), noisy neighbors and mice rummaging through our things. The next day, the manager quickly rehoused us in another bungalow.
Please note: bungalows with a sea view can let in mice, cockroaches and other insects through the floor and walls.
I had an absolutely fantastic time at The Sweet Jungle Bungalow. It was lovely, and I spent many relaxing hours there. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, honest, and helpful.
I can't wait to return!
This was excellent value for money when you booked directly with the property. The accommodation is clean and comfortable, and we had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The location was convenient, and we were able to explore the surrounding area easily.
