About Sré Lodge Living Style Community

Sré Lodge Living Style Community is a resort hotel in Chi Phat, Cambodia, set among rice fields, palm trees and a village whose community is rooted in traditional rice farming. The property is locally owned and is one of several run by the same group, The Nature.

Accommodation comes in several forms: bungalows, cottages, villas, a farmhouse, and a larger lodge with three bedrooms, a living room, a firepit and two private pools. Rooms include a bathtub and a hammock on the balcony and a coffee machine, and some units have a kitchen stocked with herbal teas. Shared facilities are a small communal pool with two sun loungers and a sauna. The on-site restaurant serves food at prices roughly equivalent to what you would pay in town, and a tree-planting activity is offered to guests.

The area

The lodge is in Chi Phat, Cambodia, with the address listed as Phum Trobengchrab, Kampot. It sits among rice fields and palm trees, beside a village where rice farming is the traditional livelihood. The immediate surroundings are open countryside rather than town, and in the rainy season the fields are green.

If you’re looking for a place to truly slow down, Sre Lodge is a little hidden gem surrounded by rice fields, palm trees and village life. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely at peace. Instead of traffic and noise, I woke up to birds singing and the sounds of nature. What makes this place so special isn’t just the beautiful Bungalows or the peaceful setting – it’s the people. Every member of the team made me feel genuinely welcome and went above and beyond to ensure I had a wonderful stay. Their warmth and kindness created a wonderful atmosphere. I also love the philosophy behind Sre Lodge. They work closely with the local community, support sustainable initiatives, and even invite guests to plant trees during their stay. It feels like tourism done in a more thoughtful and meaningful way. The Bungalows are spacious, beautifully designed and blend perfectly into the natural surroundings. It’s the perfect place to relax, explore the nearby villages by bicycle, or simply enjoy the incredible green landscape.

I stayed only 1 night, but what a wonderful place! Located among the rice fields and villages it's a very authentic and traditional neighbourhood in the countryside. The local life is is incredible! The scenery is stunning and in the rainy season everything is a lush green. The rooms were ridiculous for the price! Spaceous, funky design, bath tub and hammock on balcony, coffee machine in room. Small pool for swimming and even a sauna. One of the most impressive things for me was the fact t that this hotel and a number of others managed by the same group (The Nature) is locally owned and the owners have a great vision for the future of Cambodian hospitality, they have a training program with over 200 kids registered the year. The staff were lovely! Young, enthusiastic, professional and personable. Next time I will stay for at least 3 nights!

This place is an incredible experience and I highly recommend it. I stayed in one of the villas which had a bathtub on the balcony. The bed was exquisitely comfortable, water pressure was great, kitchen was well equipped and had some lovely herbal teas. I ate at the onsite restaurant twice the food was great. Very reasonably priced (more or less equivalent to what you pay in town). There is a sauna and a small communal pool with 2 sun loungers so may feel busy when there's higher occupancy, but for my stay it was perfect. I was also lucky enough to try the tree planting experience which was super cute. What really made this experience amazing though, was the very kind and wonderfully attentive staff. Especially Long Sopheak who was incredibly easy to contact via WhatsApp and was kind, courteous, and very friendly. The location is around 15 minutes from the centre of town which is perfect if you're looking for a quieter/ more local experience, but worth having your own transport if you're staying for a few days. Will definitely be back!

What a wonderful wonderful stay! This lodge is worth the visit to Cambodia! - The Vibe: first of all what you get when you stay here is feeling the cambodian vibe, the village vibe, the hearts of a living community: everyone is so kind and everything around tells you about where you are, inside true rural Cambodia from a lodge touristic prospective. - Accommodation: we were given the lodge with the private pools, such a wonderful place with a view, and so huge, with 2 private pools, 3 bedrooms, a big livingroom, a firepit.. So so nice! And clean. Luxury. - Service: we liked the lodge so much that we decided to have romm-service dinner, everything delicious. Breakfast a la carte, you order the previous day. - Position: someone might say it is 10km out of Kampot downtown. That's the point. You are inside a living rural community welcoming tourists next to their houses. This is what you feel. They offer 2 shuttle tuktuk to town everyday, in town you can find a Passapp tuktuk back for a few dollars. We were lucky enough to have the opportunity of being asked to join for a festival, a kind of party organized by the Lodge for the villagers every year before the Khmer New Year. Children playing and adults enjoying time together and we together with them, a free buffet offered by the Lodge with local dishes for everyone. Such a unique opportunity. With loved this place!

We spent only one night here. But it was truly fantastic, we hope to stay more days here the next time. The bungalows are fantastic, clean and comfy with a beautiful view in the nature, quiet and calm. The swimming pool is great and the restaurant is very good. The staff was very kind and welcoming, so happy to have spent a night here. Thanks for everything until next time 😎

Cafés & bakeries 117.7 km 4.2/5 on Google

Blue cafe is 117.7 km north of Sré Lodge Living Style Community — a short ride rather than a walk.

Blue cafe is a small restaurant located in Choam, Chi Phat, offering casual dining in a modest setting. It serves as a neighbourhood spot where locals gather, and the menu is reasonably priced. The compact size means it maintains an intimate, unpretentious atmosphere rather than catering to large groups or formal occasions.

Visitors consistently describe the place as straightforward and good value. Reviewers mention that it caters well to local tastes and habits, with pricing that won't strain a budget. The feedback is generally positive though expressed in measured terms rather than enthusiastic praise — most comments fall in the "ok" to "good" range, suggesting it delivers what you'd expect from a neighbourhood cafe without particular surprises.

This is the kind of place to visit if you're comfortable with simple, casual dining and want to eat where local people do. Given its size, it works better for individuals or small groups than large parties. There's no information about opening hours or specific menu items, so it's worth asking locals for current details when you arrive in Chi Phat, particularly if you have dietary requirements or are visiting during off-peak times.
