Preah Vihear Chey Hotel is a hotel on Street 69B in Sra Em Village, Sra Em Commune, Choam Ksant, Cambodia, set about a kilometre outside the small town of Sra Em. Accommodation is in mid-range bungalows, and rooms come with a safe and a fridge. There is a swimming pool on the grounds.
The hotel has its own restaurant with a broad menu, serving straightforward meals rather than elaborate cooking. Meals need to be ordered in advance, so let the staff know ahead of time if you plan to eat on site. Breakfast is described as included but carries an additional charge, so confirm the arrangement when you book. Because the hotel sits outside town with no shops close by, it is worth arriving with snacks or instant noodles for late arrivals and between meals.

Good to know
Restaurant meals must be pre-ordered, and food can take a while to arrive once ordered. Breakfast is listed as included but an additional payment is charged, so clarify this at booking. Guests have reported a price difference between Khmer and foreign guests, with an extra charge of about $10 above the $25 Khmer rate, so confirm the rate that applies to you before you book. Bring insect protection and keep doors closed, as mosquitoes are an issue.
Hotel is located just about 1km outside a small town. No shops nearby. Foods served in the hotel are very basic, just to fill your stomach, nothing fancy. Good to bring some snacks, cup noodles, etc... Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Tried to book to stay here with my Khmer girlfriend (Im not Khmer) for a 1 night stay. They charge $25 for Khmer people and they try to charge anextra $10 if you are a foreigner. Disgraceful. They should be ashamed. We stayed at the much nicer Preah Vinegar Boutique hotel instead. All round better experience for the same money. AVOID!! So much love for Cambodia. This is a rare bad apple in one of the best countries in the world ❤️
Had an overnight stay there, the room was ok for it price cost. The staff are friendly. The restaurant need to pre-order and the food came abit late and the portion was abit small, the taste is ok. You have to be very careful when open and close the door there are big mosquitos hunting you. I had very noisy neighbor gathering by the pool on that day. The breakfast was included but you have to pay additional.
Great place to stay if you are planning on visiting Preah Vihear temple (which you absolutely should be doing if you've already been to Angkor Wat). They were caught in the lock down for 2 years but are now getting back and up and running and deserve support. There are a couple of basic hotels in town but this is a cut above, with nicely done mid-range bungalows. They helped me to arrange a tuk tuk out and back to the temple site and travel back to Siem Reap and have a restaurant for meals if you give notice.
Soooo this is a hotel with a pool so dirty you won't consider using it, a room with a safe and a fridge which do not work, a restaurant with a lot of options but most unavailable. Basically when visiting Preah Vihear, consider guesthouses: at least you get a real taste of Cambodia and it's probable that you'll receive better service
