Beautiful resort on sprawling grounds. Huge villas. Breakfast was fantastic. Eat at the sunset bar for breakfast. Watch out ordering lunch. It’s really expensive ($45) for one lunch set. Prices aren’t listed on the menu. Staff was very kind and attentive. Beds very comfortable. Spacious and beautiful. Missing some basic elements like my pool light was never on at night, staff not easily reachable, phones in room don’t work. (They give you their personal WhatsApp number, but not great on their day off) Gap in door allowed insects into room on bed, especially at night. Location is in the countryside, pretty far from town. Would be a great family holiday spot. Pool villas are really nice.

This place was magical! The venue, the decor, the staff. Everything was perfect. This is by far the best place I’ve traveled to. We stayed for 3 nights and had massages, a daily chauffeur, a personal assistant. We had our private pool in our private villa. Thank you to the staff for making our stay this unforgettable.

We enjoyed our stay so much! This was the high point of our whole trip - we loved the grounds and the location. it is a beautiful facility and very relaxing with perfect service. All of the staff was very friendly and thoughtful-,the pools were beautiful - we were able to take the bikes the hotel provided and ride to the small village. It had a very authentic zen feeling and was a perfect place to unwind. Our tour had no problem picking us up and we can have had the tok tok take us into town but we were having so much fun we never left the hotel- instead we went swimming after dinner in the salt water pool. I also highly recommend the restaurant- everything we tried was perfectly prepared! We really enjoyed our stay - and would come back.

I recently stayed at a private resort in Siem Reap, Cambodia, which was advertised as a high-end glamping destination with a dedicated butler service. Given the resort’s reputation and price point, I had high expectations. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of what was promised. Below are the major issues I encountered: 1. Insect Infestation Despite carefully opening and closing doors and keeping windows shut to prevent mosquitoes and other insects from entering, I still found crickets and grasshoppers crawling around at night. I caught more than five myself, yet they kept appearing. The lack of any visible pest control measures in a so-called luxury resort is unacceptable. 2. Communication Failures The staff informed me that the hotel phone line was down and asked me to contact them via WhatsApp. However, when I needed assistance in the evening, they did not respond to my messages or calls. This left me feeling stranded and ignored, especially at a property that advertises round-the-clock butler service. 3. Broken Air Conditioner The room had two air conditioners, but only one was supposed to cool the space without blowing directly onto the bed. Unfortunately, that unit did not work at all. In a tropical climate, air conditioning is essential for a comfortable stay, and having a broken unit with no immediate fix is completely unsatisfactory. 4. Excessive Noise A wedding party nearby played loud music late into the night, making it impossible to relax or sleep. No wa

The hotel informed us at 6pm the night before they were closed & that we could stay instead at a sister hotel (which looks worse & to a lower standard). I'm trying not to be cynical & view this late notice as a way to get people to accept the worse hotel (at the same price) as finding options at such notice could be difficult... When I told them I didn't want the other hotel they told me to cancel the booking (it was non refundable through an OTA), I had to ask them to cancel & then chase them to action. I would avoid as they're still taking reservations for the period that they're closed.

Blue cafe

Cafés & bakeries 182.0 km 4.2/5 on Google

Blue cafe is 182.0 km south of Mane Hariharalaya — a short ride rather than a walk.

Blue cafe is a small restaurant located in Choam, Chi Phat, offering casual dining in a modest setting. It serves as a neighbourhood spot where locals gather, and the menu is reasonably priced. The compact size means it maintains an intimate, unpretentious atmosphere rather than catering to large groups or formal occasions.

Visitors consistently describe the place as straightforward and good value. Reviewers mention that it caters well to local tastes and habits, with pricing that won't strain a budget. The feedback is generally positive though expressed in measured terms rather than enthusiastic praise — most comments fall in the "ok" to "good" range, suggesting it delivers what you'd expect from a neighbourhood cafe without particular surprises.

This is the kind of place to visit if you're comfortable with simple, casual dining and want to eat where local people do. Given its size, it works better for individuals or small groups than large parties. There's no information about opening hours or specific menu items, so it's worth asking locals for current details when you arrive in Chi Phat, particularly if you have dietary requirements or are visiting during off-peak times.
