This place is lovely, it really deserves a little more love in these reviews. My husband and I stayed here 2 years ago and back now as we absolutely love the place and the owners. The room has all you need with lovely hot showers, a fridge and kettle for tea and coffee. The pool is great and there is a chill out area for food as well. The owner is a super friendly lady who will treat you like family. I would recommend a stay.

Informed when we got here it would be noisy, have a wedding across the road so very noisy, changed to just one night due to noise. Rooms are very average but tidy, no tv not that you need it on holidays, on the plus side the pool was great. Accommodation provider was very apologetic and was happy to refund extra night due to wedding noise

Farm Link

Sights 228 m 3 min walk 4.4/5 on Google

Farm Link is 228 m south-east of Hello Kampot Resort — about 3 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “sights”.

The next two places under “sights” from Hello Kampot Resort are Krong Kampot (1.3 km) and Seahorse Statue (1.5 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Farm Link is a working pepper cooperative and educational space in central Kampot that showcases the production of the region's famous pepper. Visitors tour a small processing facility and farm plot where staff demonstrate how black, red, and white pepper are sorted, dried, and prepared. The cooperative collects harvests from dozens of local small farmers. You can handle and taste different pepper varieties alongside other products the group produces, including long pepper, vanilla, salt, and sugar.

Staff consistently earn praise for their knowledge and friendliness, patiently explaining the labour-intensive processes behind each pepper type and answering questions in French and English. Visitors repeatedly mention the value proposition: Kampot pepper costs notably less here than at local markets, and staff will guide you through the tasting and selection process without pressure. The cooperative model itself appeals to those interested in supporting local farming directly. A minor note appears in one review about impulse buying—the prices and variety apparently make it easy to leave with more than planned.

The site operates mornings and early afternoons, closed around midday. Plan for a 30 to 45-minute visit. It suits anyone with interest in how local products are made, those seeking authentic souvenirs at reasonable prices, and travellers wanting context on Kampot's agricultural identity. The hands-on elements—smelling, tasting, watching manual sorting—make it accessible to most visitors regardless of expertise. Allow time before a midday closure if you're visiting in the morning slot.

The other place under “bars” within reach of Hello Kampot Resort is High Tide Kampot (1.4 km).

Royal Kampot KTV is a karaoke bar in central Kampot that operates around the clock. The venue offers private karaoke rooms, including a Diamond room noted for its appearance, and serves food described as healthy and fast-casual in style. The setting attracts both local and visiting clientele.

Guests consistently praise the friendliness of staff and describe receiving respectful treatment during their visits. The management and female staff members draw particular mention for attentiveness. Some visitors highlight the VIP treatment available to clients. One reservation worth noting: the cashier service has been flagged as disorganized by at least one visitor, though this does not reflect the broader feedback about the venue's hospitality.

The bar is open every day of the week without closing time, making it accessible at any hour. It sits on NR3 highway in Kampot town. The venue appears to suit groups looking for private karaoke sessions and those seeking a social environment with attentive service, though those sensitive to administrative efficiency at the payment stage may want to mentally prepare for a slower checkout.

Restaurants 928 m 12 min walk 4.9/5 on Google

BaZaar Café & Healing Space is 928 m north of Hello Kampot Resort — about 12 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “restaurants”.

The next two places under “restaurants” from Hello Kampot Resort are Laundry Cafe Burger Bar (1.3 km) and Greenhouse ( restaurant & coffee ) (1.3 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Tucked away in Kampot, this café pairs homemade, health-oriented food with a garden setting at the back, complete with hammocks. The signature order across visits is the Buddha bowl, alongside kefir, mango lassi, tonics, and a chocolate cookie that regulars keep coming back for. Beyond food, the space leans into its "healing" name with offerings like tarot readings, and the overall feel is artistic and calm rather than a quick-stop café.

Guests are consistently enthusiastic about the food quality, describing it as fresh, clearly homemade, and flavourful, with the Buddha bowl mentioned again and again as the reason to visit. The garden seating and hammocks come up repeatedly as a highlight, giving the place a relaxed, unhurried atmosphere that some visitors returned to daily. The one practical gripe is the lack of air conditioning, noticeable on hot days since the space is open-air. Prices are described as higher than typical local spots, though reviewers who mention this generally feel the quality justifies it, and cash-only payment has been noted as well.

This suits travellers looking for a slower, more contemplative meal rather than a fast bite, and it works well for an afternoon of tea and cake as much as a full meal. It is open daily except Sunday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, so it is not an evening dinner option. Given the open-air setup, arriving earlier in the day or in cooler weather may be more comfortable. Bring cash, and if the garden and hammocks are part of the appeal, allow enough time to actually sit and stay rather than just eat and go.

The cafe has functional wifi and air conditioning, making it suitable for working as well as casual visits. The setting appeals to people who enjoy photographing their drinks.

Visitors consistently praise the coffee quality, with several describing it among the best they have had in Kampot. Matcha lattes and charcoal lattes are mentioned specifically. The atmosphere draws repeated compliments for being chill and lovely, and staff are noted for being helpful and speaking English. Prices are described as affordable. The main caution is that cold drinks tend toward the sweeter side, which works well for some but may not suit those preferring less sugar.

The cafe opens daily from 7:00 AM and closes at 6:30 PM, making it accessible for early breakfast or an afternoon stop. It functions well as a morning work spot or a place to spend an hour between activities in Kampot. Markets 1.2 km 14 min walk 4.1/5 on Google

Samaki Market is 1.2 km east of Hello Kampot Resort — about 14 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “markets”.

The other place under “markets” within reach of Hello Kampot Resort is Kampot Night Market (1.3 km).

Samaki Market is Kampot's main general market, occupying a central location where locals shop for everyday supplies. The stalls spread across the space with distinct sections: fresh produce including tropical fruits like mangosteen, sugar apple, and salak; seafood and meat counters; clothing and textiles; jewelry; and toys. Beyond retail, the market also houses practical services—hair salons, key cutting, and shoe and clothing repair shops. The atmosphere is authentically local rather than tourist-oriented, with vendors setting up from early morning and the space growing busy with tuk tuks and motorbikes.

Visitors consistently praise the market's range and authenticity, noting that you can find nearly everything in one place at local prices. The produce section draws particular attention, especially the fresh tropical fruits available at the north-side kiosks; seafood like crab is noted at around 3-4 USD per kilogram, with cooking services available for 1-3 USD. The main criticism visitors mention is limited parking, which can be frustrating during peak hours. Several reviewers note that the best time to shop is early morning, around 5am after vendors set up, both for the best selection and to avoid produce that has been sitting out.

The market operates daily from 7am to 5pm. It suits visitors looking to shop like locals, eat inexpensively, or source ingredients for self-catering. Early morning is essential if you want the freshest pick and easier navigation, though expect crowded conditions with vehicular traffic during those peak hours. This is a working market for locals first, so it rewards those who arrive prepared and early.

Blend House Cafè & Zen House Yoga is 1.2 km south-east of Hello Kampot Resort — about 15 minutes on foot. It is among the three closest places to the hotel under “cafés & bakeries”.

The next two places under “cafés & bakeries” from Hello Kampot Resort are Analog coffee (934 m) and The Bookshop, Kampot (1.3 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Blend House Cafè & Zen House Yoga sits down a small alleyway off the riverfront road in Kampot, combining a café with a yoga studio upstairs. The daily menu runs to bagels made fresh in house, smoothie bowls, and coffee, with both indoor and outdoor seating for those who want to linger over breakfast or a midday coffee.

Visitors consistently mention the calm, welcoming atmosphere and the attentiveness of the staff, often naming the owners Chris and Ali directly for their warmth. The smoked salmon bagel, smashed avo bagel, and protein smoothie bowl come up repeatedly as favourites, alongside praise for the coffee and flat white. Several guests who joined the yoga classes describe them as genuinely grounding, and the combined Backpacker Package of a class plus food is mentioned as good value. Oat milk availability is called out as a welcome plus for those who need it. No complaints or caveats surface in the reviews, though more than one visitor admits to returning day after day, which suggests the appeal holds up beyond a single visit.

The café opens at 8am and closes at 3pm every day except Thursday, when it is shut, so this is a breakfast-and-lunch spot rather than an evening one. It suits travellers looking for a quiet break from Kampot's busier bar streets, and is worth building a morning around if you want to try a yoga class before or after eating, since sessions run upstairs on a daily basis. Given the alleyway location, it helps to know roughly where you are heading rather than expecting it to be visible from the main road.

The next two places under “restaurants” from Hello Kampot Resort are BaZaar Café & Healing Space (928 m) and Greenhouse ( restaurant & coffee ) (1.3 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Laundry Cafe Burger Bar is a casual burger restaurant on Street 74 in central Kampot, serving made-to-order burgers alongside steaks and fries. The space has a relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff and a music playlist that suits lingering over a meal. Portions are generous.

Visitors consistently praise the quality of the beef patties, which are juicy and cooked well, paired with fresh buns and thoughtful topping combinations—the swiss cheese and jalapeño cheese fries appear frequently in reviews. Prices are reasonable for the quality; a Friday discount brings most burgers down to $5. The main drawback is popularity: the restaurant draws crowds, and waits of around 40 minutes are common during peak times. One reviewer noted the buns could benefit from more toasting, though this is a minor note among otherwise strong feedback.

The restaurant opens daily from noon to 10 PM, making it suitable for lunch or dinner. It works well if you're staying in Kampot town and want a reliable meal without fuss. Plan to arrive outside busy hours if you prefer not to wait, or embrace the wait as part of the experience—the volume of returning visitors suggests most think it worthwhile. It suits travellers craving straightforward, quality burgers rather than fine dining.
