Absolutely loved the glamping-style accommodation. The room was comfortable and I love the outdoor (private) bathroom (we have lizard and snail friends). And it’s right beside the river so you can hear the water flow every night. We also love waking up to that view and having a quick dip to energize us throughout the day. Mr. Chea (the owner) was very accommodating to our request. Just make sure, when you decide to stay here, you rent/have the right car and motor bike for it because it can get pretty rough (especially when it rain).

The environment is absolutely beautiful. I'd recommend coming during the rainy season - right now it's dry season and the streams are almost completely dried up, so there are no waterfalls

The situation of the road is quite challenging to get there. This place has already abandon many activities they had which left only this waterfall.

Great location with beautiful scenery, next to the waterfall Veal Pouch that streams from Bokor mountain it’s great if you’re looking to reconnect with nature. Staff is very welcoming and helpful, the owner is attentive to his guest needs and a wonderful person to have a chat with. The location offers multiple activities, there is the waterfall, a zip line, hiking spots and relaxing locations all around the complex you are also not far from the town center. The restaurant offers western and local food options and it was good. My whole experience was a highlight itself, I felt welcomed and at home. I want to thank the staff and the owner for making this experience memorable and hope to be back soon.

Veal Pouch Waterfall

Sights 80 m 1 min walk 4.1/5 on Google

Veal Pouch Waterfall is 80 m west of Green Valley Veal Pouch — about 1 minutes on foot. It is the closest place to the hotel under “sights”.

The next two places under “sights” from Green Valley Veal Pouch are Farm Link (5.5 km) and Seahorse Statue (6.5 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Veal Pouch Waterfall sits about 5 kilometres from Kampot town along a dirt road accessible by motorbike. Visitors drive to a parking area, then walk roughly 30 minutes uphill through jungle to reach the main waterfall and river pool. The site has hammocks for lounging, basic shops selling water and snacks, and local attendants who charge around 1,000 to 2,000 riel for bike minding.

The experience depends heavily on season and recent rainfall. Visitors who arrive during or just after the wet season describe a pleasant day out with a functioning waterfall and enough water to swim in. Those coming in the dry months—April through May—often find the stream dried up or reduced to a trickle, making the trip a disappointing hike rather than a swim. The jungle scenery itself is consistently praised as beautiful and peaceful, though multiple visitors note that the area suffers from significant litter along the trails, which detracts from the natural setting. The motorbike journey up an uneven dirt road is manageable but rough.

Go in the rainy season or shortly after for the best chance of seeing water. Check recent visitor reports or ask locally about current conditions before making the trip, as seasonal variation makes a huge difference. The walk is straightforward but takes stamina; wear appropriate footwear. It suits travellers content with basic facilities who want a quiet half-day outing in nature, though those expecting pristine jungle or reliable waterfall photography should manage expectations accordingly.

The other place under “bars” within reach of Green Valley Veal Pouch is Royal Kampot KTV (5.5 km).

High Tide Kampot is a riverside bar built around dog rescue and rehabilitation. Visitors find a working sanctuary where rescued dogs live and socialise throughout the day, with drinks and light refreshments available. The bar operates from a riverside location where guests can spend time with the animals, and the owner offers boat cruises down the river at sunset as part of the experience.

What makes the place distinctive is the genuine care visitors observe in how the dogs are treated. Guests consistently mention the owner's deep commitment to animal welfare and the dogs' visible contentment and friendliness. The staff are described as kind and knowledgeable about dog behaviour and rehabilitation. Visitors appreciate that there is no entrance fee, with support coming through purchasing drinks or merchandise. A few reviewers noted they returned multiple times during their stay, suggesting the experience holds up to repeat visits.

The bar is open daily from 10 AM to 10 PM, making it accessible for morning visits with the dogs or for sunset river cruises. It suits anyone spending time in Kampot with an interest in animals or who wants to support rescue work while having a drink by the water. Farm Link is 5.5 km east of Green Valley Veal Pouch — a short ride rather than a walk. It is among the three closest places to the hotel under “sights”.

The next two places under “sights” from Green Valley Veal Pouch are Veal Pouch Waterfall (80 m) and Seahorse Statue (6.5 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Farm Link is a working pepper cooperative and educational space in central Kampot that showcases the production of the region's famous pepper. Visitors tour a small processing facility and farm plot where staff demonstrate how black, red, and white pepper are sorted, dried, and prepared. The cooperative collects harvests from dozens of local small farmers. You can handle and taste different pepper varieties alongside other products the group produces, including long pepper, vanilla, salt, and sugar.

Staff consistently earn praise for their knowledge and friendliness, patiently explaining the labour-intensive processes behind each pepper type and answering questions in French and English. Visitors repeatedly mention the value proposition: Kampot pepper costs notably less here than at local markets, and staff will guide you through the tasting and selection process without pressure. The cooperative model itself appeals to those interested in supporting local farming directly. A minor note appears in one review about impulse buying—the prices and variety apparently make it easy to leave with more than planned.

The site operates mornings and early afternoons, closed around midday. Plan for a 30 to 45-minute visit. It suits anyone with interest in how local products are made, those seeking authentic souvenirs at reasonable prices, and travellers wanting context on Kampot's agricultural identity. The hands-on elements—smelling, tasting, watching manual sorting—make it accessible to most visitors regardless of expertise. Allow time before a midday closure if you're visiting in the morning slot.

Royal Kampot KTV is a karaoke bar in central Kampot that operates around the clock. The venue offers private karaoke rooms, including a Diamond room noted for its appearance, and serves food described as healthy and fast-casual in style. The setting attracts both local and visiting clientele.

Guests consistently praise the friendliness of staff and describe receiving respectful treatment during their visits. The management and female staff members draw particular mention for attentiveness. Some visitors highlight the VIP treatment available to clients. One reservation worth noting: the cashier service has been flagged as disorganized by at least one visitor, though this does not reflect the broader feedback about the venue's hospitality.

The bar is open every day of the week without closing time, making it accessible at any hour. It sits on NR3 highway in Kampot town. The venue appears to suit groups looking for private karaoke sessions and those seeking a social environment with attentive service, though those sensitive to administrative efficiency at the payment stage may want to mentally prepare for a slower checkout.

BaZaar Café & Healing Space is 5.7 km east of Green Valley Veal Pouch — a short ride rather than a walk. It is the closest place to the hotel under “restaurants”.

The next two places under “restaurants” from Green Valley Veal Pouch are Laundry Cafe Burger Bar (6.4 km) and Vanna Restaurant & Bar in Kampot (6.4 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Tucked away in Kampot, this café pairs homemade, health-oriented food with a garden setting at the back, complete with hammocks. The signature order across visits is the Buddha bowl, alongside kefir, mango lassi, tonics, and a chocolate cookie that regulars keep coming back for. Beyond food, the space leans into its "healing" name with offerings like tarot readings, and the overall feel is artistic and calm rather than a quick-stop café.

Guests are consistently enthusiastic about the food quality, describing it as fresh, clearly homemade, and flavourful, with the Buddha bowl mentioned again and again as the reason to visit. The garden seating and hammocks come up repeatedly as a highlight, giving the place a relaxed, unhurried atmosphere that some visitors returned to daily. The one practical gripe is the lack of air conditioning, noticeable on hot days since the space is open-air. Prices are described as higher than typical local spots, though reviewers who mention this generally feel the quality justifies it, and cash-only payment has been noted as well.

This suits travellers looking for a slower, more contemplative meal rather than a fast bite, and it works well for an afternoon of tea and cake as much as a full meal. It is open daily except Sunday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, so it is not an evening dinner option. Given the open-air setup, arriving earlier in the day or in cooler weather may be more comfortable. Bring cash, and if the garden and hammocks are part of the appeal, allow enough time to actually sit and stay rather than just eat and go.

Analog coffee sits on National Road 3 in Kampot and serves espresso drinks, specialty lattes, and cold beverages in a space visitors describe as having a strong vanilla scent and a relaxed local atmosphere. The cafe has functional wifi and air conditioning, making it suitable for working as well as casual visits. The setting appeals to people who enjoy photographing their drinks.

Visitors consistently praise the coffee quality, with several describing it among the best they have had in Kampot. Matcha lattes and charcoal lattes are mentioned specifically. The atmosphere draws repeated compliments for being chill and lovely, and staff are noted for being helpful and speaking English. Prices are described as affordable. The main caution is that cold drinks tend toward the sweeter side, which works well for some but may not suit those preferring less sugar.

The cafe opens daily from 7:00 AM and closes at 6:30 PM, making it accessible for early breakfast or an afternoon stop. It functions well as a morning work spot or a place to spend an hour between activities in Kampot. Laundry Cafe Burger Bar is a casual burger restaurant on Street 74 in central Kampot, serving made-to-order burgers alongside steaks and fries. The space has a relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff and a music playlist that suits lingering over a meal. Portions are generous.

Visitors consistently praise the quality of the beef patties, which are juicy and cooked well, paired with fresh buns and thoughtful topping combinations—the swiss cheese and jalapeño cheese fries appear frequently in reviews. Prices are reasonable for the quality; a Friday discount brings most burgers down to $5. The main drawback is popularity: the restaurant draws crowds, and waits of around 40 minutes are common during peak times. One reviewer noted the buns could benefit from more toasting, though this is a minor note among otherwise strong feedback.

The restaurant opens daily from noon to 10 PM, making it suitable for lunch or dinner. It works well if you're staying in Kampot town and want a reliable meal without fuss. Plan to arrive outside busy hours if you prefer not to wait, or embrace the wait as part of the experience—the volume of returning visitors suggests most think it worthwhile. It suits travellers craving straightforward, quality burgers rather than fine dining.

Vanna Restaurant & Bar in Kampot is 6.4 km east of Green Valley Veal Pouch — a short ride rather than a walk. It is among the three closest places to the hotel under “restaurants”.

The next two places under “restaurants” from Green Valley Veal Pouch are BaZaar Café & Healing Space (5.7 km) and Laundry Cafe Burger Bar (6.4 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Vanna Restaurant & Bar sits on Street number 735 in Kampot, serving a menu that ranges from Khmer-leaning dishes like squid with green pepper and chicken satay to French-influenced plates such as pan-fried chicken breast in a special sauce. Portions are generously described by regulars, desserts get particular attention, and the setting is described as relaxed rather than formal, the kind of place suited to a proper sit-down evening meal rather than a quick bite.

Guests are consistently enthusiastic here, with the ice cream, palm sugar and grilled pineapple dessert coming up again and again as a highlight, alongside dishes like the beef saraman, fried shrimp and the chicken avocado salad, which is offered in two portion sizes. Several reviewers single out the owner, described as French and attentive, for spending real time talking diners through the extensive menu. The one point of disagreement is seasoning: while most find the food well balanced, at least one visitor found the sauce on the signature Vanna chicken too sour, so those sensitive to acidity might ask before ordering.

The restaurant is open daily from 11am to 11pm except Saturdays, when it is closed, and Sundays, when it opens later in the evening from 5pm. Given the size of the menu and the care taken over recommendations, it suits diners happy to take a little time choosing rather than those in a rush. It works well for a relaxed lunch or a longer evening meal, and the consistently high volume of positive feedback suggests booking ahead or arriving without a strict time pressure, particularly if planning to try one of the more elaborate dishes or desserts.
