I come to Battambang a few times every year, and I can't quite believe it took me so long to discover Mother's House. I stayed in one of the two upstairs rooms, which I would recommend. They're large and look out over a small balcony into a lush green tree. Comfortable bed, desk, and two chairs and a table make a lovely reading spot. Fridge, kettle, tea, coffee, and pitchers of water are just a few of the amenities. Staff are supremely friendly, and the location is central yet very quiet. A superb choice!
While choosing the accommodation take the double room with the balcony upstairs as the rooms downstairs do not seem to be so pleasant to stay. We have enjoyed the stay and can recommend it.
Laundry is offered for 1 $ per kilo.
If it comes to improvements that could be made, the blanket is definitely too small for two people and causes couple disagreements ;) to be honest we could have asked for the second one and we haven't. Also housekeeping could clean the dust from shelves, the bed frame and patio area more carefully.
We stayed here for 3 nights. The family running it are super friendly and helpful. They also did laundry for us at $1 per kilo and turned it around in less than a day.
The rooms are spacious and the bed is also big and comfortable. Bathroom/wetroom is big and not cramped. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Battambang- everything is within walking distance.
The rooms are situated down a small alleyway taking it away from the road meaning it is nice and quiet.
Nary Kitchen restaurant is next door and offers fantastic Khmer food with a friendly service at a great price.
