We are loving this resort! I wish I could’ve replied to the idiot who said 350,000VND for four 330ml beers is a rip off. That works out to £2.50 per beer… in a 5* hotel by the beach, with stunning surroundings and wonderful staff. I pay 2x that for the same beer in a ‘nothing’ bar in England. And if I was in even a 4* hotel it would be 3-4x We are here now, our villa is an Ocean View with Pool. This place is wonderful. Staff amazing. Location beautiful. Rooms superb. Everything is superb and VERY cheap.

We have loved everything at this resort. The setting is amazing with a pristine private beach, whilst the rooms are very thoughtfully placed amongst the trees. We had a pool villa that was stunning. Spotlessly clean, a huge amount of space and a super comfy bed. We chose to eat at the resort and the food was fantastic. Yes it’s slightly more expensive than Vietnamese street food but so much cheaper than other any resort we’ve stayed in around the world. Great value for the special location. I must mention the staff who could not have been more helpful and made our stay one to remember. A special mention to Chau and Emma who were fantastic. Chau was very professional and offered great suggestions. The communication from Emma on WhatsApp before we arrived and during our stay was exceptional. Something other hotels should follow. If you’re looking for a luxury holiday at a very reasonable price then this resort is for you. Overall we could not be happier here and will definitely come back.

Overall, we had SUCH a magical stay at Green Bay, and wouldn't hesitate for a moment to recommend this wonderful property to anyone holidaying in Phu Quoc. Only a few of the many highlights: 1. The service was overall outstanding - and a very special thanks to Diem, who just went out of her way for us the whole trip! 2. The room was just stunning, and we loved both the spacious indoor and outdoor areas. 3. In addition, the gym is just beautiful, a literal gym in the jungle!!! And the spa!!!! Utterly serene location - don't miss a massage. 4. There is lots to do on the property, activity and games wise - which is fantastic. In terms of minor improvements they could make: 1. For both restaurant and room service orders, the hotel should automatically bring sauces (e.g. ketchup if a dish has fries) and salt/pepper with the food. They kept forgetting to do this. 2. The free yoga is scheduled at 7am, which is a bit early for some on a holiday (other places typically do it at 7:30/8AM), then they charge over 1million VND for sunset yoga... a tad cheeky. They should consider changing this to 7:30. 3. The pool villas should have proper tables and chairs (not just sofas), as the other rooms do. I rarely take time to write such a comprehensive review, but this place is truly wonderful, a 5* stay. N.B. though that currently one of the two restaurants right now is closed for reservations.

Can I give it 8 stars? Our beach front villa with its own pool was simply top notch. A few meters to the sandy beach which was cleaned meticulously several times a day. The walk to breakfast along the beach was just lovely. The setting is superb. The staff were exceptional throughout. Somehow we had free laundry included which we were delighted with. The two gyms (weights in one and cardio in the other) were very well appointed. We availed ourselves of the spa twice - incredible Vietnamese massages. Loads of options for food and drink (though we’d like more non-alcohol options like 0% beer and less sugary mocktails). Our pool was cleaned and tested daily and was a massive luxury. The bar/bistro was epic for sunset cocktails. Overall, faultless.

I had an extended business trip at Green Bay, and I must admit that despite a few minor shortcomings, every staff member I interacted with was extremely friendly. They gave me a clear sense of true hospitality and made my stay truly comfortable, even though I missed my family dearly. The villas at Green Bay are spacious and fully equipped with all the amenities you need. There is an abundance of greenery and flowers. The beach is beautiful, quiet, and stretches out wide. The infinity pool offers a stunning view every afternoon. There are plenty of fun complimentary activities, enough to keep you (or more importantly: your kids) from getting bored. The only downside is that currently, Green Bay has only one restaurant in operation. The other restaurants are under renovation, which is understandable since it is the low season. Nevertheless, the dining options remain quite diverse: you have a breakfast buffet, combined European and Asian à la carte menus for lunch and dinner, afternoon tea, a BBQ night, and two Happy Hour time slots. In-room dining is also available, of course. All in all, for a 4-star resort, I believe the value Green Bay delivers is truly worthwhile. It wouldn't be surprising if they upgrade to 5 stars in the near future if they maintain their current spirit of hospitality and make reasonable investments in both facilities and cuisine.

Domnak Cafe

Cafés & bakeries 47.7 km 4.2/5 on Google

Domnak Cafe is 47.7 km north-east of Green Bay Phu Quoc Resort & Spa — a short ride rather than a walk. It is the closest place to the hotel under “cafés & bakeries”.

The next two places under “cafés & bakeries” from Green Bay Phu Quoc Resort & Spa are Zipline Cafe (48.2 km) and Kep Coffee (50.0 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Domnak Cafe sits on Kep Beach, positioned next to the local fishing pier where wooden boats dock throughout the day. The cafe serves drinks and coffee in an open-air setting facing the water, with several spots designed for photographs. The setup is simple—a casual beachside stop rather than a full restaurant.

Visitors consistently mention the location and sea views as the main draw. The fresh coastal breeze and proximity to the fishing boats create an atmosphere that several guests found calming. Coffee quality receives mixed assessments: some find it acceptable, others do not remark on it specially. Service speed is a point of contention—some guests praise it as good while others describe it as slow. Prices are considered reasonable. One consistent note across reviews is that afternoon heat can be uncomfortable; visitors recommend coming in the morning or evening, particularly around sunset.

The cafe opens daily from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, making it accessible for both early breakfast and evening drinks. It suits visitors looking for a low-key spot to pause during a beach day, or those specifically interested in watching local fishing activity and catching sunset light. Come expecting basic refreshment rather than fine dining, and time your visit to avoid the hottest hours.

Restaurants 47.9 km 4.4/5 on Google

Arts Cafe is 47.9 km north-east of Green Bay Phu Quoc Resort & Spa — a short ride rather than a walk. It is the closest place to the hotel under “restaurants”.

The next two places under “restaurants” from Green Bay Phu Quoc Resort & Spa are Kimly Seafood Restaurant (47.9 km) and Holy Crab (47.9 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Arts Cafe sits at the Crab Market in Kep, positioned right by the water with views across the ocean. It serves Western-style dishes alongside Khmer options, with a small retail shop attached. The cafe operates daily from 7:30 AM to 9:00 PM and doubles as a workspace, with visitors noting the wifi is fast enough for work.

Visitors consistently praise the location and service. The setting overlooking the sea is mentioned repeatedly as a reason to visit, whether for a quick coffee, a full meal, or simply to watch the sunset. Staff are described as friendly and English-speaking. The drinks — iced lattes, espresso, and fruit-based frappes — receive particular mention, with one visitor calling their iced latte the best they'd had in Cambodia. On food, opinions are mixed. A Croque Madame here is a small baguette with eggs, cheese, and bacon, which one visitor found adequate but not memorable; others report simply enjoying their meals without complaint. Coffee and drinks appear to be the stronger draw than the food.

The cafe works well if you want a relaxed waterfront spot in Kep with reliable service and a view. Go anytime from morning through evening — sunset is popular. It suits solo visitors, groups, and families. If you're planning a full meal, the Western dishes are straightforward rather than ambitious, so set expectations accordingly; if you're after good coffee or a drink by the ocean, it's a solid choice. The location near the Crab Market and beach makes it convenient if you're exploring that part of Kep.

Kimly Seafood Restaurant

Restaurants 47.9 km 4.1/5 on Google

Kimly Seafood Restaurant is 47.9 km north-east of Green Bay Phu Quoc Resort & Spa — a short ride rather than a walk. It is among the three closest places to the hotel under “restaurants”.

The next two places under “restaurants” from Green Bay Phu Quoc Resort & Spa are Arts Cafe (47.9 km) and Holy Crab (47.9 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Kimly Seafood Restaurant is a casual spot in Kep serving fresh seafood and rice dishes. The dining room has a straightforward setup, and visitors note that the sunset view over the restaurant can enhance the experience. The menu centers on crabs, prawns, squid, and fish prepared with various sauces and spices, alongside fried rice and curries.

Visitors consistently praise the freshness and flavor of the seafood and the quality of dishes like steamed grouper with soy sauce and crab curry. Several mention that small portions are actually substantial enough to share between two or three people. However, reviews reveal meaningful drawbacks: some diners found prices higher than comparable nearby restaurants with smaller portions in return, and quality can be inconsistent. Complaints include shrimp dishes that were mostly sauce with minimal protein, inadequately cleaned prawns, and dry fried rice. Service speed is another frequent concern—while food cooking time is adequate, staff can be slow taking orders and delivering drinks, even during quiet periods.

The restaurant operates from 8 AM to 11 PM daily (closed Sundays). It suits travelers wanting fresh seafood in Kep, particularly those flexible about portion size and willing to specify heat level if they prefer spice. Pricing is moderate to higher for Cambodia. Before ordering, compare prices with other seafood restaurants in the area if budget is a consideration, and be prepared for potentially slow service even when the restaurant is not busy.

Restaurants 47.9 km 4.6/5 on Google

Holy Crab is 47.9 km north-east of Green Bay Phu Quoc Resort & Spa — a short ride rather than a walk. It is among the three closest places to the hotel under “restaurants”.

The next two places under “restaurants” from Green Bay Phu Quoc Resort & Spa are Arts Cafe (47.9 km) and Kimly Seafood Restaurant (47.9 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Holy Crab sits on Kep's busy seafront street, a seafood restaurant with aesthetic decor that draws both tourists and repeat visitors. The menu centers on crab dishes prepared several ways—amok, in green pepper sauce, in tamarind sauce, fried with pepper—alongside grilled squid, prawns, and other catches. The restaurant claims to serve MSG-free food and also makes fresh juices, with lime and mint mentioned as worth trying.

Visitors consistently praise the quality and freshness of the seafood. Crab amok appears repeatedly in reviews as a standout dish, and the crab fried with pepper draws particular mention for how the meat holds up and blends with the sauce. Grilled squid with lemon Kampot pepper sauce also receives strong endorsement. Some diners compare it favorably to other seafood restaurants in the area and report never being disappointed. However, portions are occasionally noted as modest for the price, and cooking times can be longer than expected. Opinions on certain dishes diverge—the crab in green pepper sauce and tamarind sauce drew mixed reactions, with some finding the sauces too light or bland.

The restaurant opens at 8:30 AM and stays open until 10:30 PM daily except Sunday. Its seaside location means it can be noisy and busy. If you are serious about fresh seafood and don't mind paying above-budget prices for it, this place consistently delivers. Go early or late if you prefer a quieter meal, or embrace the atmosphere if you want the full seaside dining experience.

Magic Crab

Restaurants 47.9 km 4.8/5 on Google

Magic Crab is 47.9 km north-east of Green Bay Phu Quoc Resort & Spa — a short ride rather than a walk.

The next two places under “restaurants” from Green Bay Phu Quoc Resort & Spa are Arts Cafe (47.9 km) and Kimly Seafood Restaurant (47.9 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Set right on the water in Kep, Magic Crab is a seafood restaurant built around the town's namesake ingredient, blue crab, served whole or worked into dishes like amok, stir-fries, spring rolls and fried rice. The owner, Sariem, runs the front of house and hand-painted much of the restaurant's decor, while his wife cooks; guests mention him personally showing diners how to eat the crab. The menu runs beyond crab too, with fish amok and cocktails, wine and passion fruit soda also mentioned by visitors.

Reviews are consistently positive and centre on the same points: the crab is fresh, tender and generously portioned, the amok crabmeat comes up repeatedly as a highlight and something several guests call the best they have had, and service is warm and attentive without being slow. More than one visitor notes the seafood tastes noticeably fresher here than elsewhere in Kep, and prices are described as fair for the quality and quantity. The setting by the sea, especially at sunset, is called out often enough to be a genuine draw rather than an afterthought.

Magic Crab suits travellers who want a straightforward, unfussy seafood meal rather than an elaborately plated one, and it works equally well for a relaxed lunch or a sunset dinner given the water-facing tables. It is open daily from noon until 10:30pm, so there is flexibility on timing. Reviewers suggest ordering the whole crab and the crab amok specifically, and tipping is mentioned as appreciated given how hard the small team works. Worth going with an appetite for crab rather than a broad seafood sampler, since that is clearly the kitchen's strength.

Kep Crab Market

Markets 47.9 km 4.1/5 on Google

Kep Crab Market is 47.9 km north-east of Green Bay Phu Quoc Resort & Spa — a short ride rather than a walk.

Kep Crab Market sprawls across multiple tent-covered sections near the water in Kep, serving as both a working seafood market and a place where visitors come to eat. The market is dominated by fresh and live crabs, but also sells dried seafood, fried preparations, and general goods like clothes and toys. Vendors operate from stalls and boats, and many will cook your chosen seafood to order while you wait.

Visitors consistently praise the freshness of the crabs and the opportunity to select your own catch and have it prepared immediately, often with green pepper or garlic. The prices are regarded as reasonable, and vendors are frequently described as friendly and willing to let customers sample items. One regular caveat appears in reviews: the combination of multiple tents overhead and active cooking stations creates considerable smoke accumulation, which some visitors note may bother those with respiratory sensitivity. The eating experience itself is messy—crab requires hands-on work and wet napkins are advisable. Crowds can be intense, and some visitors mention jostling, though the atmosphere is generally described as energetic rather than unwelcoming.

The market operates daily from 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Arrive early for the fullest selection and liveliest experience, though it remains active throughout the day. Wear clothes you don't mind getting soiled, and bring napkins or plan to use the on-site bathroom. It suits visitors seeking an authentic local market experience and fresh seafood prepared on the spot, rather than those looking for a polished or quiet shopping environment.

Pantai Kep is 48.0 km north-east of Green Bay Phu Quoc Resort & Spa — a short ride rather than a walk. It is the closest place to the hotel under “sights”.

The next two places under “sights” from Green Bay Phu Quoc Resort & Spa are White Lady Statue (48.1 km) and Krong Kep Blue Crab Statue (48.4 km), so there is a choice within a few minutes.

Pantai Kep is a sandy beach in the coastal town of Kep that draws a mix of local Cambodian visitors and travellers. The shoreline has gentle waves suitable for swimming, and the area is ringed with small restaurants and food vendors selling meals and drinks for a few dollars. A working crab market operates nearby with additional stalls and dining options. Hammocks are available for hire, and sunsets are a draw for visitors.

Visitors consistently praise the relaxed atmosphere, especially on weekdays when the beach is quieter. The food scene—local, cheap, and abundant—gets regular mention as a highlight. However, several reservations emerge from reviews. The beach can become very crowded with Khmer holidaymakers on weekends. Water quality is a concern for some swimmers, and others note limited shade, which matters in Cambodia's heat. A few visitors report that vendors rent beach chairs and umbrellas on what they say is public land, and petty theft has been mentioned, though one traveller recovered a stolen bag.

Visit midweek if you want a more peaceful experience. Bring sun protection given the sparse shade, and keep belongings secure while swimming. The beach suits those comfortable with a local scene rather than resort conditions, and it works well as part of a Kep visit that includes the crab market and nearby restaurants. It is not primarily a swimming destination for all visitors; some come for the atmosphere and to watch the sunset rather than to enter the water.

Beaches 48.0 km 4.1/5 on Google

Kep Beach is 48.0 km north-east of Green Bay Phu Quoc Resort & Spa — a short ride rather than a walk.

Kep Beach is a small white-sand beach in the coastal town of Kep, lined with palm trees and local seafood restaurants. The beach sits near Kep's famous Crab Market and has basic traveler accommodations nearby. The main draw is the seafood: visitors can buy fresh prawns or crabs from tanks at the market and have them cooked on the spot for a modest fee, or order prepared dishes at beachfront restaurants.

Visitors appreciate the quiet, relaxed atmosphere, especially on weekdays, and consistently mention the quality of the seafood and reasonable prices. However, the water quality is a significant caveat. Multiple reviewers report the sea is murky, colored by sediment from the nearby Mekong River, and some found plastic and debris in the water. The beach itself has cleanliness issues—shells and litter are mentioned by several guests. On weekends, the beach becomes crowded with local families. Conditions vary noticeably: some visitors found the water pleasant and clean on their visit, while others encountered visible pollution.

The best time to visit is during the dry season (around November to April), when weather is sunny and warm, water temperatures hover near 28–29°C, and conditions are calmest. Kep Beach suits travelers seeking a low-key, inexpensive coastal stop with good seafood rather than pristine swimming. Set expectations accordingly: this is a working local beach with tourism still developing, not a resort destination. The nearby Kep National Park makes it worth combining with other activities in the area.
