As retired Australian's, we travel Asia full time. We've stayed in many great hotels, but Chiaya Palace is up there with the best.
What we Liked
1) The staff have an unbelievable care factor.
Everyone one from reception, to cleaning, to restaurant staff, were exceptionally welcoming and nice. Always remembering our names, our room number and what drinks we prefer before we spoke. The staff absolutely make the hotel.
2) Food choice, especially at breakfast is fantastic.
3) Location is also superb, within easy walking to all main areas / attractions
4) The ice cold towels, welcome drink etc. on entry to hotel reception is a very nice touch.
Chaiya Palace is personable. It's attention on guests and their comfort is first class.
Well done Chaiya Palace !
Improvement Suggested
1) The pool area / sky bar is not really welcoming / useable. It's a shame. It needs revitalising.
An Unforgettable Stay at Chaiya Palace Hotel
From the moment we arrived until the day we left, our experience at Chaiya Palace Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. A huge thank you to every member of staff who went above and beyond to make our trip so special. Their warmth, kindness, and attention to detail truly made us feel valued throughout our stay.
One of the highlights was the incredible birthday welcome waiting for me on arrival. It was such a thoughtful surprise and a memory I will treasure for a long time. The effort the team put into making the occasion special was genuinely touching.
Our room, the beautiful pool, and the hotel's facilities exceeded all our expectations. Everything was exactly what we had hoped for and more. We stayed in Room 1201, and I absolutely loved waking up to the stunning views overlooking Phnom Penh. Watching the city from above was a real treat and added something extra special to our stay.
This hotel combines outstanding hospitality, fantastic facilities, and breathtaking views to create a truly memorable experience. I cannot recommend Chaiya Palace Hotel highly enough and would happily stay here again.
Five stars all the way! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 🤩✨😍
Thank you again to the entire team and the adorable Sam for making our visit so wonderful. We can't wait to return! ❤️
This is one of our best hotel experiences and we would absolutely stay here again. The staff were so accommodating and even though the latest we could check out was 1 pm, our flight was at midnight and they let us stay to use the pool, order food to the pool, use the spa and even shower. They were so generous and we spent 3 hours at the spa with a foot massage, facial, and an hour with the sauna and steam room. It was relaxing and the staff were wonderful. The room itself was luxurious with a super comfortable bed, nice view of the city and riverfront and hot shower with good water pressure. Breakfast was decent, typical buffet style with pastries, cereal, stir fry, fried rice, etc. the views from the restaurant and the pool were so incredible! We ordered lunch and they brought it to the pool, the fish amok, Caesar salad and French fries were all great. Easy walking distance from the Royal palace as well.
We loved our stay at Chaiya Palace and we’ll definitely be coming back again. Why you ask, because the location is great. It’s only walking distance to the Royal Palace to sightsee during the day and walk along the Tonle Sap river in the afternoon and drink/karaoke/dance the night away in Bassat Lane.
The pool is medium in size but the views of the Mekong and city skyline are amazing.
Only downside is the gym which I can understand is small in size but it lacks even decent free weights or bars. In saying that the view from the gym is uninterrupted and beautiful, I’ve been to a lot of hotels and I’d say this is probably one of the best gym views I’ve ever worked out in.
Additionally, Breakfast was another highlight as you had the option of the usual buffet or a’la carte and the Khor Kor was on point and the Reception and breakfast staff were amazing.
Amazing rooms for $50 per night. The service is exceptional. Great location. The only downside was the gym which was really a gym and the pool is really small and only had a couple of sun beds. The restaurant served good burgers. I would definitely stay again.
