About Cambodian Homestay

Cambodian Homestay is a bed and breakfast in Chi Phat, Cambodia, hosted at the Meas family home on National Highway 3. It is a stay in a family's own house rather than in a purpose-built hotel, so the property is small in scale and domestic in character.

As a bed and breakfast, the stay covers a room and breakfast. The address places the house directly on National Highway 3, a main road route through the area.

It suits travellers who are looking for family-hosted accommodation in Chi Phat and who prefer a small, personal place to a larger property with hotel services.

We had a wonderful time staying with the Meas family on their beautiful village-farm property. It was the perfect peaceful escape from busy Phnom Penh. With many places to relax in the shade, enjoy the sights and sounds of nature, ride bikes down the country roads, experience a taste of what life is like in rural Cambodia-- we left having learnt a lot from this homestay experience. The food served was varied, and always tasty. Much of the ingredient grown on site! The rooms were comfortable and cool (actually the softest beds we have come across in South East Asia so far). Linda and her family are so kind, so generous, so thoughtful, so good. They were always willing to share information with us. We loved our 3 nights here and wish we could have stayed longer. If you've ever wondered what it might be like to explore down that dusty country road in Cambodia...stay here! ❤️🥥🌴🇰🇭 Endless thanks to the Meas family for running this fantastic homestay! We hope to be back some day!

This was my first time staying at a homestead and omg did I have the best time! Linda is an incredible host! She provided us with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Her food was exceptional! This was some of the best food I’ve had in Southeast Asia! My boyfriend and I have weak stomachs and her food was so delicious and made us feel energized and never groggy! She also made it a point to get to know us and talk about her life in the village. It was a really cool experience staying in a village/active farm. She’s so accommodating and an absolute gem! I can’t recommend her and her homestead enough! 🥰

Another recommendation from Wanderlush, and I so glad I went. An amazing guesthouse in lovely rural surroundings. Linda and her family are absolutely lovely and you will be well looked after. If you want a break from the city, this is the place to go. Surrounded by animals and nature. The guesthouse also hosts a small English school and a weaving workshop supporting women in the community. A great example of how tourism can help support communities. A win-win situation. I absolutely loved it and cannot recommend enough.

Needed to chill for a couple of nights, found the right place. Linda's a lovely host, and her parents. Lovely cats too. I'm sitting in a hammock all day today chillin 😎. The location is ideal if you want to chill with a friendly Cambodian family. There's a lady staying here, and she does a lot of charity work, people turning up all day to try on free prescription glasses. Went to the local school with Linda, and helped the kids with English. What a fantastic day. 😃.

One of the best places to experience true Cambodian hospitality, Linda is a great host and they have been impacting the local community for decades.

Blue cafe is 112.5 km north-west of Cambodian Homestay — a short ride rather than a walk.

Blue cafe is a small restaurant located in Choam, Chi Phat, offering casual dining in a modest setting. It serves as a neighbourhood spot where locals gather, and the menu is reasonably priced. The compact size means it maintains an intimate, unpretentious atmosphere rather than catering to large groups or formal occasions.

Visitors consistently describe the place as straightforward and good value. Reviewers mention that it caters well to local tastes and habits, with pricing that won't strain a budget. The feedback is generally positive though expressed in measured terms rather than enthusiastic praise — most comments fall in the "ok" to "good" range, suggesting it delivers what you'd expect from a neighbourhood cafe without particular surprises.

This is the kind of place to visit if you're comfortable with simple, casual dining and want to eat where local people do. Given its size, it works better for individuals or small groups than large parties. There's no information about opening hours or specific menu items, so it's worth asking locals for current details when you arrive in Chi Phat, particularly if you have dietary requirements or are visiting during off-peak times.
